Problem with fog light mod

Long story short, I did the fog light mod to have them on with just the parking lights. No problem there. It's actually very easy, and it looks great!

So, I am driving to work today and pulled behind a black suburban and noticed that there was no fog light reflection. I was like :wtf: So I got to work and get out to do a visual check. Nothing. They don't even come on with the headlights. DAMN! Cant **** with it now. Got to get into work.

So I took a break and went to check it out.
Pulled the side cover off and made sure the connectors were still connected good...Check.
Made sure the live wire had not gotten loose and shorted something...Check.
Felt the relay to make sure I could feel the click of it working...s***! The relay is not working! No click! DAMMIT!

I guess I have buy a new relay. The only problem I can see is cutting all the wires from the old relay and putting new spade connectors on them.

I am so pissed right now...

So, anyway, has anyone else who has done this mod had this happen? If so, do you happen to know the part number of the relay?

Was it actually foggy out, or were you just using them to look cool?

It's foggy around here every morning in the summer.

Not foggy out, but I like to use them as daytime running lights. Not trying to be cool, but it sure does make the P5 stand out a bit.

is there something wrong with driving around with fog lights??? I think they make the whole thing look that much better, i dont see why it would matter.

I have always had my fogs on in any car. DRLs are useless now days since just about everyone has them. They were only really affective when they stood out from a crowd of cars. Heance the use of foglights to make you stand out more.
Plus it does make the car look better, and besides it doesn't blind anyone. Not like we are some SUV jacked way off the ground with lights blaring right at your mirrors. :mad:

Yup. They still come on.
I only took a look at it for a few minutes on my break. After work, I'm going to really get under there and make sure all the connections are OK. If so, the only thing I can think of is that the relay is shot.
My buddy said that when he did similar mods to Civics, that they would have to replace the relay with a bigger one that could handle the current.
But I know others have done this mod to thier P5s and they are reporting no problems.

Problem Fixed! Turns out one of the crimped end of a spade connector came loose. Some pliers, electrical tape, ands 10 minutes was all it needed.
