Has anyone had any problems with fitting ASWC1 to their Mazda CX5 to keep your steering wheel phone controls?
Reason I ask is that Auto electrician wired up my Erisin Entertainment unit BEFORE I BOUGHT TO ASWC1 and was cutting wires his way to get most of my steering wheel controls working through the unit by pairing them together except my phone controls. All my steering wheel control buttons light up on my unit setup except phone controls.After I bought the ASWC1 I got him to come back and fit it BUT he still could not get the phone controls to work. He keeps telling me that my cannot get phone controls to work because they are connected to the voice command control button on the steering wheel.
I want him to put all the wiring back to it's original state ( from memory he spiced wires from my original harness to the unit bypassing the plug head and just cut 2 wires white and brown I think from the original Mazda wiring harness without doing anything with them) and start again with the ASWC1 and manual program it as on reading manufacturers instructions my Unit is not listed.
Am I correct in my assumptions? Because also I have found out with this unit that if the three wires I have coming from the unit Key 1 and Key 2 are connected to the signal cable from the steering wheel and GND to ground it should work but would like to use the ASWC1.
