power flat spot?

Hi there. First, I do not have a msp but a LX that i've "turboed" with a custom kit.

Ok, for the little problem... For 3 weeks now there's something wrong with my car. In 3rd and 4th gear beyond 4000rpm i have, what a call, flat spot of power.
It's like if the car was shutting itself off for half a second or even less... It's gonna do that 3 or 4 times until I reach 6500rpm and then shift. I have that setup for 2 months now and it's only since 3 weeks that it does that.

I'm thinking of three thing:

1- I sucked water in my intercooler
2- I have a leak somewhere between the turbo and the intake
3- My Mass Air Flow is waving me goodbye.

Is there someone here that could help me a bit with that?
I'm a mecanic but, I don't know that much in turbo setup. I'm learning along the way.

I have the MSP ECU installed since 1 week now... And it did it before and after too.

I did not found any leaks what so ever... I don't know where to look.

Thanks

BTW, it is possible that my english sounds weird... I usually talk french.

I would like pictures...

It will help me to give a beter suggestion.

It sounds like a fuel cut..

What are your running for PSI???

If it's over 4 Psi... Then you are probably running very lean and it's likely that you are simply detonating..

I have experienced water in my pipes (on my GSX, but I imagine the same would occur). If water hits the MAF, it will mess up the signal completely and say that you are flowing the most amount of air possible (for me 80 lbs/min...not even close to whst it really was). Because of this, it could not possibly send the appropriate amount of fuel so you basically hit fuel cut. It will feel like you blew off an intercooler pipe.

My MSP on the other hand does what you are describing (mine is stock btw) but starts at a lower RPM and is indeed the MAF sh*tting the bed. A new one is on the way (covered by the dealer thankfully). It was sending all kinds of wacky signals at random times. Sometimes it is fine, other times I can't boost at all.

Oh, and if it was a boost leak, it would affect you the same throughout the RPM band after full boost, so I am ruling that out.

I'm running 6-7psi. And I have the MSP ECU... If I look at my A/F sensor, when I boost, it goes right away in the "rich" spot instead of the "Lean" wich it was doing before I installed that ECU.
So I don't think that I'm lean...

The more I think about it, the more maybe it's a fuel cut... I should take the car to a special shop to tune it, to see what's wrong.

If you want to talk about it over Coffee.. I live only one Hour from you.. You could check out the MP5T and discuss what you could do with yours..

It did it before I installed the new ECU... that's why it bugs me that much... the week just before it did that...
awww crap... even if the msp ecu was made to make the car run rich... I don't see why I would have that problem.
I'm gonna sell that thing lol.

That would be the problem. MSP's run rich as hell....thus the bogging.

Do you have the bogging problem? i have the bogging problem, bad, did you do anything to get rid of it, please let me know, i need the help.

Yeah, I just installed DSM's AFC. If you search the marketplace I believe there's a group buy on them right now.

Protegegarage has a gb right now IIRC. or check his website.
It's DSM's AFC. DSM_convert is a member here that made the AFC.
