Pimp my ride

My first vehicle was a 65 Ford truck long bed. Man no power steering no power brakes, it had a three on the tree and a straight six. It was all beat up and rusted but me and buddies dubed it "White Lightning" Ive never had as much fun with any other car, that thing could go anywhere, almost. The scary thing was that the gas tank was right behind the bench seat and I mean right behind, if you pulled the backing down you could physically touch the damn thing.

*sigh*Those were the days.

My first car was a beat up 73 Covertible Super Beetle... (Got it when I was 15) I worked my ass off to fix it (Painted houses/did lawns + saved every penny) @ 16 when I set out to college I had two part time jobs.

Took me almost two years to get everything up to date...but there was nothing better than sitting back and looking at her Curved body style and just telling myself "HA...thats mine"

Candy apple red / EMPI-style 5 spoke rims/Beige leather interior/A new 2054cc engine w/dual Weber's...and all the other little toys (Including a custom rack for my surf board)... Girls at the beach loved it (first)

I guess what I'm trying to say is... you work hard or harder for what you want in life... the end result is satisfaction; knowing that every screw and knob on the car was put there by your hard work... not any hand me down crap. This in turn shows you the meaning of achieving something, helping you later in life with more important things.

(God I sound like my Dad....Scary)

Damn Dog you went to college at 16!!!

lol..."Attention to detail Chucko642"

Yeah I had the chance to skip 5th grade (P.S.19 Brooklyn N.Y.) My Dad thought it would help me in the future... "Nope"; its one of the worst things you can do to your child. It's like taking a year away from them...you don't fit in with the older crowd...plus back then kids in 6th grade looked like football players...lol

I got my ass handed to me acouple of times... But hey, things worked out at the end.

Well getting a better job and all would be key but my dads in the military and jobs are sorta limited with what you can choose. Its hard to find a good job during school. I know of jobs that pay like 9 bucks an hour but those are grave yard shifts. To what antoine said , if you sponsored my idea id gladly give you 50 % of donations. I figure if it is able to help us both at the same time its well worth it. Even if i were only able to get like a bad mod added to my car i mean that wouldnt really bother me.

Im not gonna be sporting my car in shows and what not , i just want the chance to be able to work on a car of mine and like personlize this. My dad keeps telling me that he would do anything to have his first car back and wishes he would have done more. I just dont want to be thinking that down the road. Il try to get pictures for you people

Its a 2000 mazda protege lx , Tan with grey interior stock wheels / rims .
There is a dent in the front left bumber and the right headlight frame needs to be buffed out a bit. Everything else otherwise is good exterior and mechanically. Things id want to do to the car is lower it , get some better tires / rims and eventually but a buddy club 2 kit on it.
