We definitly need to start a thread for this, I need to arrange to get off work sat. if we are going fri. Im in for a train from NJ down to VA.

I love your idea with the autocross, that would be a blast.

This is gonna be a sweet event to meet fellow protege'er from all over.

NICE, hey what kind of problem did you have with the downpipe (clearance)
we were using a T3 from garret that was originaly made for a saab. the T3 internal wastegate housing has a 3 bolt downpipe connection like any other but is actually half an inch stretched. so a typical ford standard garret weld flange will not fit so we had to get some s*** ordered from saab. its all good now and we are piecing it together as we speak. the kit will incorpoarte a T3 super 60 so it will not have the same problem.
BTW for those who may ask , the super 60 has been shown in many tests on other vehicles to handle almost 390 hp. for daily driving it will be a monster. i chose a T3T4 hybrid for other reasons.
There has been alot of developments in the MSP, P5 and MP3 areas lately too. cant get into to many specific right now. its a timing issue. (no not ignition)
it sucks because recently i havent had the time to post because i have alot of work to do at work and home so im sorry for being vague. but this will all come together really well soon enough.
;)

hey how mutch $$$ is all of this going to cost u after ur done? if you dont mind me asking( for the stage 1 part of it/or what u are bringing to the dyno).

right now, $7000 so far. when the tranny is all done and drivetrain in and set we are looking at around 11000

about the engine management, i deal with a company from south africa that designs ECM's for aftermarket use. wont reviel any info on it yet. when its done tuning i will post a thread on every message board with details on function and ordering info.
it will be an interfacing module that will still incorporate the stock ecu

what kind is it going to be? wet or dry?
wet
a dry shot IMO is very dangerous and not that beneficial without some proper fuel enrichment thru out the rpm band or proper switching devices.

OK an update on the progress. We are finishing the straight pipe from the cat back now and making sure all the connections, hoses ,etc are in their proper place before we fire her up. She will run at about 2psi for a couple of days. Being that i drive about 100 miles a day we should break her in in no time. On monday (as long as everything is ok) we will finish wiring and tuning the module. From there a couple of days working out any kinks and offf to the dyno. Guys/ gals from jersey that are coming to the dyno run be prepared for late next week. I will PM eveyone and set the time we can meet at the shop and go to the dyno facility.

I want to comment on what we are doing with the original set up. We were going to go with 8 injectors on the stock manifold. After seeing how restrictive it is for boost we opted to wait and finish construction of our new intake manifold, TB and MAF to incorporate the extra set of injectors.
So right now we will run the stock 280CC injectors with 2 - 46 lb foggers before the TB. We will shoot for 325 HP to the wheels. This will make us happy concidering the size intercooler we are using and the availability of fuel thru the system. IMO i think the system will make this at the crank but my partner who is tuning it via the piggyback is thinking more. We shall see.
I also want to add that the stock tranny will be in place untill the other pro5 tranny is done with custom gears and quaiffe diff. Unfortunatly we ran out of time so we are trying to get this kit and piggyback out for this week. Hopefully by next month the tranny will be done and the new intake mods will be fab'd so we can reach our 450 hp goal.
In time we will get there but for now 300+ daily driver will be fine;)

SHE'S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well we started her up last night and today all day. Ran compression checks, look for leaks , coolant recirculated............. blah blah. She runs really good, like really good. Cant tell that shes got forged internals though sounds very quiet. As for the exhaust thats a different story. The 3" exhaust is very loud and free flowing. took her around the block like ten times just barely boostin'. the module wasnt tuned all yet so i just wanted to check the drivtrain out. She runs really strong and is itching to see some real booost.
The piggy will be installed and finished on friday morning to late afternoon. We will go to the dyno either monday or tuesday. I'll have full pics and video of the run. Well i am happier then a pig in s***.

Oh yeah the piping for the intercooler were a little ****** up to design without cutting anything but it came out nice. For now i have some welded mandrels and coupling to make do untill i have a jig set up and make some nice stainless piping in the next couple of weeks. But she is now functional and that is all that matters :D :D
