P5 owners w/ 17 or 18 inch wheels

Alright, I ordered some 17x7's w/ a 42mm offset and 215/40/17 tires. I plan on lowering w/ eibach's and tokico's. I'll post pics when I'm done and see if the fenders will need to be rolled at all.

with that low of an offset you will need to roll your fenders, depending on the tire that might not even be enough (nailbyt)

my wheels are +47 or +48 (don't remember exactly) and with my 215/40 it rubbed once or twice.. never badly, enough to now cause horrific rusting problems though

Ya, it's gonna be interesting, lol. There are a few guys on these forums that are running 215/40 on a 17x7 with a 42 offset that aren't rubbing, and some people running even bigger that aren't rubbing once they rolled the fenders. So a lot of it will come down to the tire and the section width.

Quick question, do you usually only have to roll the rear fenders?

Agree. I'm running 16x7, 40mm, 205s and rubbed until I rolled, but the section width of my tires is anomalously high.

The front fenders are already rolled from teh factory dunno if that gives them more room, but it seems to. The rear fenders are just hollow crap while the front ones are a lot more lined.

Wow 60mm offset. So now I get it ,the more offset the more it throws the wheel under car, glad you posted.

Its crazy. I had to get an alignment just to get the back wheels to fit (too much camber). They were hitting the struts. I ordered camber bolts for when I put my racing beat springs in I dont have any problems... I hope

azenis st-115, 215/40/17. section width is 8.6" and tread width is 7.4"

I checked the Falken website; that section width is measured on a 7.5" rim, so it might actually be a little narrower on your 17x7s.

It'll be super-close. If you rub, it'll be by just milimeters. Nothing a quick pass of the fender roller won't cure.
