18 inch rx-8 rims, unlowered. It's being lowered soon. I would say go with 17's over 18's, you can run a decent tire size, so you wont have to worry about so much stuff. If you run 18's you have to use a 35 series tire, it still rides well but can be harder on the wheel.

I'm running on 18" Drag DR-11s without being lowered yet. I have 215/35/ZR18 Toyo Proxes4s on them and have no problems with rubbing (gee...look at all my wheel gap...LOL!).
