Does anyone know if it is required that you have to get the 6 cd changer if u get the moonroof. Does it only come as a package deal? Personally, I can do without the 6 cd changer, rather listen to mp3's. Do they kind of force you to get the package if you just want the moonroof? I would rather not spend the additional $800 for the package and just get the moonroof by itself. My brother was telling me I may have to special order it...how much additional would it cost to jus do that?

Its a package and they force you to get it.

What model are we talking about? It depends on the model and series you're getting.

I have the Sedan GT GFX, which comes with the moonroof, and I don't have the 6-disc changer.

I think Canadadian ones are different. (canada)

According to Mazdausa and KBB, you can only get the moonroof as a package deal with the CD changer.

Yeah that did irk me. having had 2 sunroofs - both with problems - one of which had a $1400 Repair Fix (screwy) and one which had slight leaks and rusting within the first few yrs - I do not want a sunroof! Taping Hefty bags over my car for 3 days till the dealership opened was not fun. Learning it would cost $1400 to repair a $600 sunroof was insane, so Hefty bags remained for a couple more days until the Svc Manager was friendly enough to greatly reduce the charge for my IMO defective Sunroof. I would have gotten the CD changer or MP3 on my Maz3 had they offered these separately. Oh well, I AM the CD changer, no big deal.

Thanks for all the input. I think you guys just helped me make my mind up..I think do without a sunroof. Thas ridiculous they force you to buy a package. I noticed Toyota does that too with their corollas. What BS ! Sorry I was referring to the S models in the US. Thats $800 in my pocket Oh by the way, does anyone have the mp3 player option? is it any good?
