Why does everyone have to always single out the MSP group...I thought we were all Mazda owners and supposed to be part of ONE community...it just gets a little old.

Word.

wow this thread is interesting. i want a fcd but i think i'll wait. and i don't think joe had a fmic. i had one of the first custom ones. i believe he had one of the first 3" d/p back exhausts and a lot of hp.

I think the biggest reason anyone got concerned with lead times was because JoeP's product was always an automatic 2-3 day ship.

If this is what everyone tells you it SHOULD be and it turns out differently? Of course there are going to be concerns.

Inquiring is one thing............Complaining? Keep it up guys! Let's keep our vendors happy!

If you are that hard up for your $60.00?? You shouldn't have spent it in the first place.

Now that I know what is going on......No wonder no major companies are overly interested in supporting this vehicle. Pretty sad.

Joe. If you decide to stop production for the MSP. Cool. No issues with that. But hang out still. There are a lot of people here that would like to hear your insight and hope you share your knowledge with this growing community.

Bottom Line...........Kids are always going to be kids no matter how hard you hit'em! J/K!

I have to chime in here with another opinion that I'm sure most people will not like. IMHO -

Joe - this is the second time you have come on the forum and bitched about your situation. If you no longer have the time and desire to do what you do than stop. It sounds like you ARE very stressed and have a lot on your plate. All I'm saying is when you deal with the public they don't care about your move or personal problems, they see a web site that says click here to buy this..... At a certain point you become a company who sells things and people want there stuff "now". I'm not saying the wineing (sp) kids deserve it....it's the nature of the beast. You have to understand when you open the gates and tell people you are going to provide something, they don't care or know about whats going on with you....and they shouldn't.....again at that point you are a company. "Customers" aren't understanding...they want what they want NOW. I do not agree with all the crap your getting but you have to understand where it's coming from and how it started.

Maybe you should have taken down the site for a few months, take some time off, chill out, get your game back on. Then return refreshed when YOUR ready to pound out products. I think it's possible you didn't realize how kick ass your products would be and how people would be nuts for them.

Again just my opinion and I don't want to see Joe go anywhere. This is not a slam, it's just how I see this situation.

Unfortunately- out of my entire client base- Turbo Buicks, Turbo Trans AM's, Lotus, Turbo deisel trucks, DSM's, Supra's, RX7's, Volvo, Saab, etc. owners- the Mazdaspeed owners are the only ones to give me a hard time. Maybe I have been spoiled by dealing with older, more mature- more PATIENT people and the MSP owners (the ones we are discussing) have been spoiled by having things handed to them, who knows. I just will not tolerate it and will refund payment and cancel orders accordingly... Too many people have hte "If I click here, it happens automatically" attitude when ordering.

I would agree, but as mentioned a couple times- it is only *one* group of people that is giving me a problem and they only make up for a small percentage of my sales also. MSP owners are not my only customers, yet they are the only ones I get complaints from. That is what gets me. All of my products have always sold strong and sometimes they go out next day- other times there are delays- I RARELY ever heard anything about it.

Joe"

Exactly, but you need to understand thats what it looks like.

"When I click this button, Nancy in the warehouse gets the order, then Tom pulls the product and sends it over to shipping who sends it out that same day."

Thats what people see, and think is going on. I would seriously consider just closing shop just on the mazda stuff for a bit and build some inventory, take a break, and a deep breath. Then when you "open" back up. The shelves are full and you'll have an easier time getting things out faster for the pain in the ass people.

The younger generation are into NOW. Microwave, remotes, drive through at the drug store. They have been conditioned this way unfortunitly (sp). I remember my "spin the dial" TV with the 5 or 6 channels available....lol

I agree with savy. Most people under 25 want everything yesterday and they dont give a rats ass about the fact that in some cases it's a real person with a life that's on the other end of that phone/net connection. I am the service manager at the company where i work and my patience wears thin with those who have no ability to understand the other side of the story.

I have made purchases from Joe and am very happy with his service and product. I would be sorry to hear that you left Joe, but I would understand. :)

Is there a notice when you purchase certain items that states the delivery time may be after a certain amount of time (i.e. a month)?

Or at least e-mail the purchaser to notify them that what they ordered will take "x" amount of time before being delivered to them.

I just think many sellers lack consideration for the customers in regards to the time frame it takes to stock/produce a product.

e-mailing notifications to keep someone updated should not take much effort and if they continue to complain... that's when you should just refund them their money and discontinue business with that individual.

UMmmm just my 2 cents. If you run a business shouldn't you know your limitations. If you knew you were going to move, and the next few months are going to be hectic, shouldn't you have stopped accepting orders a month or so back to prevent a back log?

Joe, everyone highly regards what you are and have been doing, but don't you think this could have been prevented if you took some precautions?

Let us all learn from this experience....Joe and MSP peeps.

This is for redrims:

Where the hell do you get of spewing some bulls*** like you just did? I got on here and said one sentence that made entirely to much sense and then you're going to open your god damn big mouth about all MSP owners being 'fucktards' and spolied children. Lets get a few things clear here, go review ANY of my posts and see if if there is ANYTHING about me bitching about the lack of aftermarket support. Of course you won't find any because I never have. I never cussed at anyone or said anything negative, and yet I have you bashing me because I told him that if he wanted to b**** at people about BITCHING .. TO STOP MAKING s*** FOR OUR CARS! I don't care! We have plenty of vendors that come on and listen to stupid questions and get s*** every day and they don't come on the board and complain about it.

Lets get a few things straight here, do you think Joe was going to ever be the only one that ever modded this car? Do you think Joe was is the only one that will ever make parts for it? There are alot of people on this board that are taking steps in tuning that car and they don't come on here and leave ill remarks for the whole community. How about taking 5 minutes and posting on his website that there are delays in shiping and producing items because of personal problems. Its not that hard. And yes, it only takes 5 minutes to put a header on your home page that says something like that.

You come on here and make personnal attacks at myself when I have said nothing personal about anyone. You sir, are the reason the community gets a bad rep. You've got your nose so far up Joe's ass, you can taste what he had for lunch that day. Just because one person did something before someone else doesnt mean someone wouldn't have done it a week later.Prior to contary belief, Joe is not the know-all end-all to MSP tuning. There is a guy by the name of Turboge who is making great strides in tuning and doesnt get any recognition, yet we have a guy that comes on, complains TWICE and tells the person that bought his car if she gets the flash he'll act like he's never seen it. Real mature. I guess the real spoiled kid is the one that lives In College Park, Maryland ... home of spoiled kids.

No- because the "estimated" downtime was less than a week. Then the contractors weren't done and we were stuck in just two rooms for a couple more weeks, then the cable company cancelled my Road Runner appt on the 6th and didn't come out until the 13th, then we lost a couple people from work that required me to work 12 hour days, then the parts ended up backordered for a couple weeks :(.. When it rains it pours!!

If everything had gone as planned, there would have been not much delay at all. Oh well.
Joe

Joe: Can you give us all an idea of how far you are set back currently?

1) for those who might wanna order and want to have an idea of how long they're going to wait and those who are impatient might be steered away.

and

2) for those of us who have ordered and are waiting for our mbc or other products..... or maybe what day you're up to on your orders.... i bought mine september 1st and if you're up to august 25th's orders that lets me know mines coming in the next batch or two.

While there are a lot of assholes and persons who don't understand, some of us just wanna know when we can expect our items and outside that are patient. If my product isnt gonna be here for another 2 weeks that's fine by me.... that means I can stop checking the mail with anticipation every day hehehe.
