Its called respect, and its something Joe has very much earned.
Its also something you obviously need to learn about.

I may get flamed for this but here goes.

First off, the newb happens to own one of Joe's produts. And if I had just logged on in the past couple of days (which I have, but I've been reading for the past month in a half) I'd be saying **** this guy and **** his products. Don't get me wrong, Ive read most of his posts and do appreciate the fact that we have been able to pick his brain for some time now. I know s*** gets fustrating sometimes Joe. I help out a friend that owns a buisness that is struggling because he is behind from moving locations. But he thinks twice before ever making threats to pull a line or stop doing buisness with ANYONE.

While the trinkets your making right now may be a help us with performance, Flat Black may have a third car in his stable that may need some umph. I can almost bet that he'll take his buisness elsewere. could be 50 bucks could be 2000 bucks. I my self can't speak for the people that are giving you hassle, thats comes with the territory of owning a buisness.

Joe, if you can't handle the complaints, get out of the business, period. You are the one offering the product, no one forced you into this. Like the old saying goes, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen."

And age has nothing to do with this. I'm 41 years old, and if I order something, I expect it within a week. That is unless I'm informed ahead of time that it will take a month or two to deliver said product. Then, if I still want it, I'll order it. But at least I would know in advance what the situation is.

Also, I've seen a couple of instances where your MBC wasn't working, and it turns out there was "something" stuck in them that had to be removed before it worked correctly. Where is the Quality Assurance? But then again, I guess you don't have the time to pre-test these MBCs since you're spending your time bitching about the people who want what they ordered in a timely fashion.

You are not the end all with this product. There are others who make MBCs. The product isn't that hard to make to begin with, and you didn't invent it. You got all pissy in another thread about someone copying your design and how that took no originality. So what! Do you have a patent on this design? It' a MBC, there is no proprietary information in it.

And why even bring this up on the board? That makes you sound as bad as the people you are complaining about. Why not just email the people who haven't gotten the parts they ordered and explain to them what the problem is. Also, update your web site with projected delivery date for new and existing orders.

You will get no sympathy from me. And why should you? I didn't get you into this mess, you did.

Man I read this the first word that comes to my mind is ASSHOLE. I look at you sig and the worse part is that you are a veteran wow how ******* sad. Joe here, is bustin his ass and he gets immaturity from a 41 year old. WOW! Yes I hate you. Mickey mouse club ehbeheboooo

By what, bitching about people bitching? Sounds a little counter-productive.

Ok... and your bitching about someone bitching about people bitching. So how productive does that make you?

Unfortunately- out of my entire client base- Turbo Buicks, Turbo Trans AM's, Lotus, Turbo deisel trucks, DSM's, Supra's, RX7's, Volvo, Saab, etc. owners- the Mazdaspeed owners are the only ones to give me a hard time. Maybe I have been spoiled by dealing with older, more mature- more PATIENT people and the MSP owners (the ones we are discussing) have been spoiled by having things handed to them, who knows. I just will not tolerate it and will refund payment and cancel orders accordingly... Too many people have hte "If I click here, it happens automatically" attitude when ordering.
Joe

I understand Joe, that wasn't directed towards you...

and people wonder why people are leaving the protege board.. this is garbage.. joe comes on here answeres the same ******* questions over and over and has never once told someone to **** off and use the search.he has always been real cool. s*** i dont even have a turbo car but i read and learn from what joe says.
and the pencil dick that complained to paypal. grow the **** up and get your head out of your ass buddy..i doubt joe wanted to swindle you from your $50. and if you had half a brain and looked on the forum you would see his posts saying he was moving andd blah blah.
cut the guy some slack.
john
joe, rock on

not to be rude, but if you go into business, Get your stuff together. In my business i am kind of the unofficial customer service. I understand that you are having a tought time but that is personal and this is business. If people pay money, why should we wait. I do belive they should have emailed you first before the complaint. Like I said, not to be rude or cause you to get pissed. I believe personally that if you stop making the things you make someone else will start.

Since I'm old, I'll chime in:

:)

I haven't read whether or not the back-ordered people were notified of any delay. If not, the fault lies with the vendor. As the poster above mentioned - business is business.

If, on the other hand, people WERE notified, each should be mature enough to either:

1) Request a refund.
2) Acknowledge the delay and remain patient.

In an industry where my response time has to be within 2 minutes (seemingly), I tend to side with the customer first.
It IS the vendor's responsibility to notify customers of a non-customary delay. I would also expect delivery of an EXISTING product in no more than two business weeks barring any delay notification.

Ummmm. I just wanted to correct some people. Joe mentioned he only planned a weeks back log due to the moving. So if he did mention the move and other stuff on previous threads then that didn't include the extended delays leading to more than one week. Hence, if someone has been waiting for nearly a month.....ummmm they'd definitely get pissed. (please don't get bent out of shape for my correction)

Thanks Joe....

So if I ordered my MBC on Sept 1st I should be seeing it by the end of the month if all goes as planned?

Your MBC should be going out by the end of the week, not month :).

Agreed, however- once a "problem" customer, always a problem customer whether it is $50 or $5000- I would rather not deal with headaches :). All the "six figure" businessmen I know have my exact attitude- weed out the BS and deal only with people who you want to deal with- you will be happier and gain more respect in the long run. hehe- one even said to pick one customer a month and just unload on them when they piss me off :).

Haha- that was a good one though. 608 RWHP is impressive :). Hopefully, one day my car will actually hook up and the tables will turn :). If you go out to the spot we ran, you can see at least 1000 miles worth of BFG Drag radials left behind :). I knew I shouldn't have hit the "button" until mid way through second!!!
