Oil light problem?

So starting today, the oil light started coming on whenever I take turns. I checked the oil level and the oil dipstick read at full. Any ideas to what could be going on? The car does not act or drive any differently than normal and its not making any noises. So I'm hoping it could just be a faulty oil gauge sensor and not something serious like an oil pump.

The senders are very cheap, and not all that difficult to reach, it's on the rear of the engine, near the oil filter. . You can try to replace it and see if it helps. You can also hook up a mechanical gauge to monitor it.

If that doesn't fix it, I would say that you have a loose, cracked, or leaking oil pickup.

The pressure switches are very sensitive, so when the light comes on you have already lost pressure completely for a short period. Fix it as soon as you can.

If it was a bad pick up, would the light come on going up and down hills?

The light would come on whenever the oil level was lower than the fault, allowing it to suck air. So in theory, yes.

K so it doesnt come on when going up or down hills. It only comes on when taking sharp turns.

check the wiring for the sender and the oil pump one may have worked loose and be coming undone while turning

Does anyone happen to have a picture of where the sensors are? I tried looking on google but i keep getting pictures of knock sensors. Is it below the knock sensor right above to oil filter and is it visible without jacking up the car?

In this photo the arrow is pointing at the knock sensor, the oil pressure switch is just below it. The knock sensor has a 8" long wire direct connected to it, the OPS does not.

It's only really visible from underneath.

The light may not come on going up hills if there was a problem with the pickup. The G-force of a sharp turn is a lot more prominent than the tilt of a grade.
