I think the new tails display a greater degree of visual complexity than the Sebring's, certainly more than the Corolla's. That said, IMHO they're still not quite there. It's almost too visually complex.. busy. For a truer assessment I gotta see 'em lit and in person.

I wish they had kept the clear euro tail lights.

It looks to me like the brake light section that actually shines backward is in fact clear with red LEDS. Here's hoping! (drinks)

It also appears that the red swoosh area at the leading edge is merely reflective (largely from the side -- note they deleted the side reflectors from the lower area of the side of the bumper just behind the rear wheel), but lit is also possible, and wouldn't be so bad. I only hope they still put amber lamps/LEDS in the directional section -- I consider amber turn signals an important safety-via-visibility feature.

Meh. My $0.06.

Other than that, I'm lovin' it! :D

IDK.....that rear is just killing it, like the new Acura TL's grill....just kills the car....

I test drove the new 2009 Acura TL. I own a 2004 TL right now and the reason I love it is there is no other car out there with that similar design, other than the TSX. That's why this car, new 3, will have to grow on me like the new 2009 TL. It has beatiful design features....but some of them just have to grow on you.

it's tough to come up with a design everyone is gonna love but for me the new signature Mazda look which the 2010 "3" is taking its turn (fenders, "smiling" front, stretched out headlights, tall bumpers just doesn't quite make me scream as of yet. Since the 6 came out... wasn't all that appealing, then the new RX-8... etc the new Mazda look is quite obvious to detect in the similarities of all new models. Quite frankly I never cared enough for regular 3s anyway however very curious what the 2010 MS3 would have to offer, I just hope it never comes out lol just to help me feel cool and not outdated. (smash) (rlaugh)

Have you taken a look at the new 6 in person. I too wasn't thrilled about the looks when i saw pictures, but when i saw it in person, it was an entirely different story.

i agree in person that car really looks sexy , pics........ ehhhhhhhh(enguard)

I think it depends on the pictures too. You have to be able to see EVERY detail of the car in order to see it's beauty! Everything just works as a whole.

As for the new 3 the fog lights look like they came off the Saturn Sky, which I love the Saturn Sky so it's not a problem.

lol , mazda has a way to make some distinctive cars , the protege seems to be the only car that i get confused some times when i see a kia . but other then that mazda makes some " out there " and attractive cars

Agree, and take into account that the Spectra5 took tons of cues (copied?) from the Protege5 (after the Protege5 got discontinued) (naughty)

The Specta5 is the only Kia I find attractive and now I know why.

I think the Saturn Astra 5 door looks like the Mazda3 hatch and the Astra 3 door looks like the Mazda2 only missing two doors.

Mazda wins hands down though.

I'll start to glance at Mazda's again once they get the Mazda two to the US....as for now.....the Mazda 6 just....no likey....I hope the Mazda3 grows on me....
