umm i think there comes a point in every forums life when everything has been talked about. and if something hasn't been talked about you can put the information from one thread and another thread together and come to a conclusion. right now on this board, everything every noob has a question on has been addressed. so i say, lets make a new forum that has the title, "noobs look here" then every noob question will be answered in that forum.

i would agree with most points but to make a mandatory section after registering for newbs is pointless. if theyre too lazy to search what makes you think theyll read a newbie guide? after all, when you install MS office or whatever do you read the license agreement or do you just click agree and then next?

You guys mis the point. they do not know about searching, if they are FORCED to read a noob guide, then they will know about it. IF they dont read it, it will be obvious.

We can all debate this till we are blue in the face and Spicy has had her 17 children! What is comes down to is that no matter what there are gonna be the same questions over and over again; whether or not there was some noob faq. I gotta agree with Matthew on this one. People aren't going to search. Should we go ballistic on them though.....nooooooo. Yeah, you feel like you go round and round with the same Q & A, but that is just how it is.
It is like having patience with kids. They are new to experiences and not all of them develop at the same pace. Just answer the question and move on, or let someone else do it. Maybe someday they will come back on here with something to contribute or maybe they won't learn a damn thing!
