New Bushing Refusal

Am I the only person that can't get their bushings changed anymore? Apparently according to every dealership in winnipeg, they won't do it until Mazda gets the fix....this is really pissing me off! Can't I sue them or something cause they're voiding my warranty obviously:wtf:
 
I would say yes bro, screw that I would be slamming my fist on the counter saying fix the b**** now.

Soma, tell dem that u r going to complain to MCI and then to BBB. since it's a saftey issue they cant refse to do so. if BBB gets in then it's going to be a problem for them. for your safe side jst get the refusal in "black and white" so you can consult with some one to see whetehr you could sue them.
 
the thing is, its not really a safety issue. We just don't like to sound. Well- maybe we could make it a safety issue. I'm going to kill mazda unless they fix it!! ;) ;) :D

As far as I know its a safety issue, even the dealer agreed. I see a great difference in handling. Oh well, think about it what if your bushings fall off and your end links break? Wouldnt your SBar fall off and jeopardize not only your safety but also the people around you? Bro, Ive been to the dealer ship several times regarding this issue and each time I went underneath my car and look at the situation there ok. Not to mention, last time my Sbar was barley hanging.
 
most dealers don't realize that if they don't replace the bushings, the bar will become loose. This can cause preassure on the linkages, and cause them to wear faster as well. On top of that ( This is being really picky), when the bushings are rubbing back and forth on the sway bar, it can wear away the paint, so when new bushings go on, they don't fit as well as the bar is "thinner", hence the clunking begins as soon as you out new ones on.

Keep an eye on your bars guys. If it starts moving around, DEMAND the bushings to be replaced.

It's either that or they can replace the links, bar, and bushings later. Been there done that.

I can understand Mazda not wanting to replace bushings until the new fix is in place, and I dont' think it's that far off. Is this just the dealer, or is the dealer claiming that that MAzda is telling them this?

I really have to get over this flu/fever thing and get back on top of this. I'll try getting up to the dealer soon.
 
I don't want to put the fear of god into people about the bushings causing all these other problems. The clunking has to GET REALLY REALLY REALLY BAD! I'm talking months with it before you see these things ok. Be realistic. I'd say %95 of you would never see it.
 
mine were horrible they were clunking for 4 months b4 fixing them, it was getting real bad. My dealer has my car now and he said that they were also notified to teflon tape them also. I called him up and recommended it to him and he said that they were aware of the tape idea. I would demand they fix it, when they get bad they get real bad. Its not a pretty sound.
 
Well I went to the dealer ship a while ago to get new bushings. I told them about the TSB and they looked at it and said that last time they didn't use the lithium grease or whatever it was your supposed to use. So they were ordering the new bushings and were going to grease them this time. Well it's been 3 weeks and 3 days and the bushings still havent come in. Wonder where they could be? Last time it only took 2 weeks to get them in. I just hope that they get the fix soon.
 
I think i'll get the refusal in writing. Good idea Toronto_Raj. This way I can really see if he's bullshitting or not:(
 
With the tape idea, you don't need new bushings, Any will do. If they are the older bushings, pre-156D part, just more tape on it.
 
I'm going in for the third time in a short period for the clunk. Now they are installing new rear shocks. If this doesn't fix it. Where do I stand in making them buy the F'ing car back??
 
Lamp3, I'm currently trying that route as well. My Mazda dealership is now refusing to change my bushings. I'm giving Mazda Canada one more chance for them to change the dealerships mind. If this doesn't work, i'm sending a nice nasty letter into MCI. If that doesn't work, i'm gonna try and press legal action:rolleyes:
