Happy April Fools Day!

I doubt it is something complicated. It's just a faulty part from a 3rd party manufacturer. However, repairing all the affected cars is expensive so they waited until people really started complaining. Then my guess is they dragged this out as long as possible in hopes of minimizing the number of cars they had to fix under warranty. The sad part is that it isn't even a complete fix. Whatever though. My bluetooth works for music so I'm fine...I just wish I had it hard wired to the car so I could use speech recognition to change albums and playlists. In fact, I haven't successfully used the speech recognition for any task. It's too distracting when the lady doesn't understand me.

Yes, bad that they took so long for what seems to be an easy fix to hopefully avoid warranty repairs, if that is the scenario. Like you said, not even a complete fix, just enough to appease the masses I suppose. I can't stand using the voice recognition in my wife's 3 when trying to use the BT. If I'm ever driving her car and have to make a call, I'll pull over to call and then get back on the road once connected.

Jeff, Touch Free washes are fine, just stay away from anything with brushes. I also have to look for car washes that use a wheel guide. They are slowly disappearing but have to give those a miss since I'm lowered.

I have your cell, hopefully that hasn't changed. I will let you know, we are just moving around alot till we get back to Canada.

In St Augustine Fl currently. Went to a Miata salvage place called The Parts Group. Nice place and Tommy, who runs the place, was very nice. Give me a lot of info and we talked about various parts and such. They're in Bunnell FL, short drive from St Aug and I picked up a rubber shift boot, mine has a hole in it and some inner fender clips.

Heading to Jacksonville Tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip but there aren't too many of those around here, at least that I know of. My buddy at work gave me a $60 gc for the Shammy Shine for my bday. I feel bad as I won't take the Miata there as they use brushes but have free car washes for the 3 next winter. :) My cell is the same.

Last wk in NE for 16 days!!! Off to warmer weather!!!!

Nice, enjoy yourself!!!

Took the truck in for inspection. Needs a new idler arm for the steering. I thought I heard a slight knocking at full lock, that must be it. He passed me anyway and I just found the part on SummitRacing.com so that'll be a quick project when it arrives. The shop manual mentions using a ball joint puller to remove the old one so I added a puller set to my order (cost more than the new idler arm but at least I have it now LOL).

Still at the beach. Went to East Beach on St Simons Island and then headed over to Jekyll Island. Both have big beaches and the sand is so dense you can ride a bike on them.

There must be over 30 RVs at our Walmart, quite a site to see. Annual migration of the snowbirds.

Leaving Fri for Savannah GA.

Happy to report the sun is shining here! :) A bit windy and calling for rain but hoping to drive to work later with the top down. :)

Saw this at CvS just now on huntersville lNC

Morning!

Great to hear things are going well Red.

Safe travels to all of you snow birds. lol

Meeting up with a guy after work tonight who is buying my Konigs. Was happy I could find someone local vs. shipping them. Now do I set the money aside for winter wheels and tires or buy that exhaust I've been wanting for some instant satisfaction? lol

Nothing like the purr of the exhaust

I like the way you think. ;) Now do I buy the used Mazdaspeed exhaust from Nik or the Roadstersport II or Roadstersport Q? The Q is recommended by Brian at GWR for auto owners due to the amount of time spent in the lower rpms. However I don't want to buy an exhaust and then not be happy with the lack of sound. I've listened to vid clips of the MS and RSII online and feel that is what I'm going after but it's so hard to gauge an exhaust sound from a vid clip. (gah)
