NEMOC Random BS Thread

Looks like the truck should arrive Friday or Saturday. It's a little behind schedule since the original ETA was Weds-Thurs.

In the meantime, I just ordered some stuff from HarborFreight. I got one of those 2 Ton Jacks, an electric air pump (i'm sick of stopping at the gas station), and new torque wrench and breaker bar. I do need to get an air compressor at some point but I'll wait until I have a project that requires it. I was also looking at tool storage chests. Lowes and Home Depot often have them on sale so I need to do some recon before I buy anything. Recommendations would be nice...but I don't want to spend a fortune. I'm also going to start scouring CraigsList for some old cabinets. I want to line the back wall of my garage with a workbench and cabinets above. If I can't find something cheap I'll just build something out of 2x4s. Could be a fun summer project.

On a related note, who's free on the 19th or 20th of May for a cleaning/wrenching meet at my place? Weekend of the 12th/13th might work too but I was planning on checking out the vintage race festival at NHMS that weekend.

it's almost like your expecting a baby and you're getting the nursery ready with the crib and stuff! i'm around either weekend, as long as i get my house selling preperations done! i'm really looking forward to seeing the truck!

You'll prolly get to see it before then. I plan to take it down to the cape run. But yes, the garage is a mess and I really need some work space this summer. Got some projects lined up. My dad donated to me a leaf blower and a push-style blower that aren't running. Gonna fiddle with them and try to get them running.

What do you all think? MS6 wheels?

Londonderry, 10 minutes off I-93 exit 4.

I had a promising chat with a Mazda rep about the VVT/timing repair. I dropped my 12k post count here, my Grand Am attendance, and the big one...the REPU. The rep has a coworker with a REPU that has a TurboII swap so we chatted about that for a bit. He's going to consult with the original rep I spoke with and get back to me early next week. :)

New toy, new tools, a pretty nice week for you, eh Chris? haha Be sure to ***** some pics of the truck out. :)

Hmmmm, 12th/13th is the NJ Grand Am race along with Mother's Day weekend and the 20th is my wedding anniversary. I'd be game for the 12th or the 19th but need to leave those Sundays open for my health.

Sweet, bet you are glad you made that extra call. Fingers are crossed as well.

Great job Mark! We just got an estimate today to get new windows and a new sliding glass door installed. Next year we hope to re-do the siding. Sooooo looking forward to having an energy efficient house.

and there hasnt been a NEPOC pool party yet because.....

you can ask the new owners, i'm sure they'd be happy to have the nepoc crew over for a swim this july!

so i'm off to the rim shop tomorrow to drop off the first rim i bent in the pru tunnel last may....i hate ma...and it wasn't even a bad winter!

You must be excited Chris.

Nice work Mark. I hate painting.

So I've been driving a old Focus Wagon for work. 05 with 282,000 kilos on it. They gave me a 2010 Transit. Basically a box with a Focus drivetrain. It's in great shape and can now deliver large body parts that wouldn't fit in the Wagon. Has cruise and power windows which the wagon doesn't have.

Motorhome is still on track for the end of April.
