msp build parts (preview!!....:)

My builder took 7 months to do mine. But thats because he does many Canadian Tire Nascar Series engines, and I decided to give him my engine in the off season. So he didn't have much time to do mine.

TBK Performance took over 9 Months to do my Big Turbo kit, Head job and bunch of more stuff to the car, anyways i think over 9 month is just to much time, but once again it was well worth the time and money no doubt about it..

Dude I even told you I'll drive to help you work on your car and that's a 5+ hr drive. I would help out too. Like Neox says way to many people are afraid to even get dirty checking their own oil. It's sad.

exactly!
let me know when your doing yours btw, would love to help out haha

lol, I remember when I first started I was too scared to even check the oil....then I just started to say '**** it what if I do this...' hehe

sandspeed: I hope TBK gives you a good turn around time on the motor....just be sure to give it a good break in prior to running it on the dyno!

quick update: the car made it down the miami in one piece. Talked to manuel about an hour ago, he is going to tear apart the motor tonight. I should have a time frame tomorrow.

Good Luck Sander, just make sure to be ontop of Manuel's butt or your car will be there for ever, done right and better than no where else but for ever, just a friendly advice. He's good might be the best nation wide if you ask me but with too much work at the same time to do everything by himself, no doubt he will make your diamond shine like no other, you just need to be constant and ontop of him to finish the job on a descent period of time.

sweet, keep us updated man!

no problem;) I know alot of people have been following my progress, or one could say lack of progress, but thats history now. I can honestly say I've learned a lot of hard lessons owning this car but I feel confident that it will pay off in the end.

agreed on that last point haha

this is like my twin project now....I'm on motor rebuild 5, you? haha

lol, I've tried quitting, but it requires having a running car to sell to quit =P

but enough threadjacking in sandspeed's build thread about mine lol

^^^ haha.. thought about the same thing!!!

good luck Sander.. keep me updated!!

PS are you asking about their gearset? let me know the details dude

I appreciate the offer for help and may ask you to hang out if your not busy. I get a lot done quick on my car when I have all the parts that is. Plus I have the very important spare vehicle.

You'd think that you'd have gotten a lot more done with going through 5 motors. (potkettle

lol, I have gotten a lot done!

I've learned 4 different ways not to build a motor haha
let's hope number 5 is lucky lol

The car is up and running. I'm getting the tune cleaned up Wednesday, there are a couple rough spots going into boost but overall it drives great. The engine is healthy too, I checked the compression and all four pistons approximately the same.

FYI, I'm going to stop putting so much money into the speed, as you guys know I haven't been very lucky with built motors. Also, I'm going to put up a for sale thread sometime this week with some nice jdm parts and goodies;)

That was quick. Good to see her up and running. I was looking forward to seeing ur build. But i can understand that u got to stop.

I am sooo glad you can finally get some satisfaction out of all that hard work Sander! I'm sure you already have but... check everything over top to bottom for leaks 5x!

It's all worth it in the end!

My 3071r is going in today (boobs2)!
