OUCH. way to bounce back quickly though!
it felt as if someone dropped a car battery on my sack
crankwalked the motor and spun the 1st bearing. My guess is the motor wasn't balanced properly at the machine shop and once we started to make some decent power it couldn't take it. Thanks god I didn't pay the guy a cent!
I found a used longblock for really cheap today, picking it up tomorrow morning and swapping motors.
Don't worry guys, even though when I realized the motor was trashed last night and it felt as if someone dropped a car battery on my sack, I'm not going to give up on this car. I've come to far and would regret giving up now.
I wish I could give you guys some awesome hp numbers, I know if the motor was fine the car would have ripped hardcore, but sadly here I am again with another garbage motor.
Word of advice, don't believe everything that you see or hear, good machinist are hard to come by these days. I've come across people in the business who are just interested at making a quick buck.
Alright thats it for me
lol. that's better.. are you paying to rebuild this thing again?
Good stuff! Make sure they check that block out really good. I'm sure they will, I hear good stuff about TBK
lol, if I were local I'd help out for sure....no one around here besides me is into this serious of work lol, I'd love to help out with a project like this besides working on my own project (less I drive to so-cal)
