MSP # 962 is dead

I actually tried to do that. Last year my Eclipse GST got stolen and I got a few extra bucks because I had just installed Stillen rotors, pads, steel braided lines and motul brake fluid. I asked my adjuster about the new tires and he said it wouldn't make a difference. I don't agree. Thanks for the tip though.
that's a load. if they were in fact brand new, you should just show them the recent receipt and they should at least give you part of the value....

did you tell him how much they cost? He's probably used to $50/tire Wal-Mart special, and didnt think much of you losing $200.

I am glad you're okay. Also glad to see you found a new MSP. I looked everywhere for a new black mica when I totalled my first one, I know what you mean the MSP is the best looking car. I have a friend with an STI and he even admits more heads turn when my car drives by than his. I am also glad your GF wasn't in the car with you. Mine was when I rolled mine 3 times and her side was crushed in, but it was just enough that the space she was in wasn't crushed. I am not a believer, but I treasure every day that I get to spend with her. Drive safe with your new MSP, I know I do now.

No I didn't tell him how much they cost but I was really surprised he said it wouldn't make a difference. But it's past and goen so there's not much I can do now. Thanks though

momstoy, tell your wife I agree with her 100%. I simply would not be alive if Jesus didn't intervene somehow....that's not an accident that someone escapes from normally. The entire interior of the car is crumbled. There is no rear seat space nor any front passenger seat space left...the entire thing imploded and the only place remaining was the exact position that I was in. I couldn't even move my feet (at one time I wasn't sure if I was paralyzed or not) because everything had crumpled in right up to the countours of my body. Man that was one crazy night.

Hey man don't ever be afraid to speak the truth about God!! Your faith is the strongest thing you have in your life here on this earth!!
It also shows your faith and foundation are strong.. just as Jesus is for us.

How did you get out unscathed????

Damn. That has got to be the most f..ked up MSP I have seen so far. Glad to hear that you are OK. It seems as though the MSP is cursed at te rate that they keep getting written off! Once again, glad to hear that you weren't injured badly.

Also, congrats to you and your wife on the admission to Meds. I am just starting my final year in Ortho here in Ottawa, Ontario. It was a long haul, but now that I'm only a year or so from the end, it is starting to really feel better. Can't help but start to wonder what car I might be able to purchase once all my debts are paid off...LOL!

Good luck,
Rainman

Hello everyone,
Just thought I would let everyone know that My MSP, # 962, is gone. I had left work and was returning from home (I was on my my lunch break) at about 9:30pm on the night of May 12th, and just as I was approaching the turn in to my job, I got ran off the road going through a double S corner, the car spun a few times, hit the median, and the light pole fell on my car with wires running 400,000 volts strung all over the car. A guy two lanes over stopped to help me, but the hitters didn't even bother to stop. The car is totalled and I suffered minor bruises to my left arm, and some pain in my neck, back and hip. I'm fully recovered now except the pain in my neck comes and goes - and I had lost my memory for about 2 hours and eventually regained it while I was in the ER.
My Titanium MSP had 23,000 miles on it (bought 08/2003) and the insurance company estimated the repairs for $22,000+, and appraised the car at $18,730.53. So since the repairs were more than the worth they totalled the car. I owed the bank about $15700, and I had a $1000 deductible, so I got a check for $1942.50 after they paid off for the car. Determined to get another MSP, I called Mazda USA's headquarters and told them I wanted another one so I wanted to know of all the dealers that still have a new MSP. None were left in FL, and according to them only 10 new ones were left in the country. 1 Black Mica in Wilson, NC; 2 Silvers at Sunflower Mazda in Kansas; 2 Silvers & 1 Yellow at Luther Mazda in MN; 1 Titanium at Pugi mazda Illinois, 2 Yellows at Anaheim Mazda, CA; and 1 Orange at Sterling Mazda in MI. Turns out the Black Mica had $1800 miles going for $15900, the Kansas dealer wanted nothing but the MSRP for their 2 silvers (because according to them they had the last 2 MSPs in the country...so I hung up), and the titanium was sold a few hours before I called. Didn't really want Orange so I went for the Yellow in Cali. So my Yellow MSP (purchased for $17,995) # 962 will be shipped from Anaheim Mazda to Atlanta (My wife and I are moving to Atlanta next week to begin our first year at Emory University School of Medicine) tomorrow!!! Man I can't wait to get back in that car. Good thing I had zero mods to my titanium and I withdrew from the Ion GB cause that would have just been money down the drain. My wife and I are trying to buy a house in ATL too and we just got a call that the house deal looks like it will close so after going through hell, it looks like all will be well. Luckily we're still only 20 years old so I'm hoping to make some decent money before I get too old so that I can one day have the fastest MSP around :)

Wow! Im glad your alright. Thats the worst one i saw on this board. I always see some people on the boards sell MSPs maybe you can pick on up used.

Welcome to the club of wrecked MSP's. I actually bought one of those new MSP's mentioned in your original post. Good luck with the house and the girl.

Not to chnage the subject, but if you're gonna be in Atlanta you should come out to a meet. If you're into that sort of thing. We try to do something at least once a month. Check my sig for the next one.
Glad you're ok. Come on out to the ATL meets.

When I read about stuff like this I wish I was more religous. I hope god watches over me if I am ever in a situation like that.
