I would just get it because of the speaker upgrade.
Also, if you preorder your MS3 is there any hope of haggling the price?
Thanks
Yes you can, Metro makes a kit that replaces the whole dash cutout. And the BOSE system is horrible, definitley not worth the money.jtom said:Can you even change out the stock deck? I thought you couldnt.

Insurance Guy said:I am getting the Sport. I decided the extra $$ for Bose, HID, Auto-wipers, and Leather wasn't worth it. I'll put my own system in, and I'm not all that fond of leather interior. s*** gets too hot in the summer.
From what I've read, the Bose system is not all that spectacular. I've never heard it - just speaking from what I've heard from others. I think I read the head unit is a Clarion, but I may be wrong.
I put a $500 deposit down, but I signed no contract on the price. That could work either way - it could give me some "haggle room" or it could give the dealer the opportunity to bump up the price. I am figuring on paying MSRP anyway, so hopefully it will be a wash.

and yes, the stock bose system's headunit is a clarion
the HIDs, auto wipers and lights are worth it to me... the factory HIDs have a MUCH better beam pattern than the non-HID lights... retrofitting is just not the same!
TheMAN said:I don't *need* HIDs either, but it was better so I got them
by your logic, we don't need new cars because the one we already have is fine.... hell we don't need fuel injection either
only reason to get them is for better safety, simple as that... the computer doesn't "tell you" when it's raining... you adjust the sensitivity of the sensor and it turns on the wiper automatically and how often depending on the amount of rain... you can still use the wipers manually if you want... only reason to have auto wipers is for variable intermittent, which isn't available in many mazda3 models... maybe they have that in the sport model, dunno
as for the leather getting hot, it's no big deal... tint your windows and get a sun shade for the windshield when you park the car and you're fine... you really don't know what "hot" is... it IS hot down here and I have no problems with leather because I've been doing those things
