Mods you have regreted or regret and Why?

Dont really regret any of the mods .. just the order that I did them in. Ill do things right with the next car

For me no contest. The APC "Euro" tails. I suffered the misfortune of being deployed when the ricer era died. So, I came home and got my Speed and ordered one of the few appearance mods. that I knew of at the time. The minute I put them on I already regreted it, but pride did not allow me to yank them off and throw them in the garbage. Ah well, it was soon remedied and they went to a guy who is really happy with them. So, I guess there's a reason for everything.
Finding this forum was the best thing that could have happened. Before I joined I had not idea who Spool, Ion, Wagner, Hi-Boost, or Flyin Miata even were.

Boost---you paid 1300 for the FMIC and to be sponsored, how's that??? Have you posted in the vender reviews? Sorry for your luck, but now you know why there has been s*** about them. I hope everyone else takes this into account before they deal with them.

yea wagner sucks. i just remembered i got an email like 3 days ago from them as an answer to a question i asked like two months ago. it was so long ago it was virtually irrelevant anymore and i had totally forgot i even asked the question at all.
leads me to believe that craig is 100% correct when he says they didnt return his calls. and thats not th efirst time that has happened when i asked a question.

I paid what Wagner paid for the parts. (around 500-600 dollars) It cost me the other ammount in tolls-gas-tickets-hotels ect ect for all the traveling I did out there.Bigg Tim said:

I have removed the Wagner FMIC from my car and got rid of it. I am currently in the market for another performance sponsor, and already have a a prosepctive sponsor Im talking to.

Hmmm, can't say that there is one. I'm pretty happy about everything I've done so far.
A little frustrated on one thing but the customer service has been great, so no real complaints.

Well since I got off topic, I guess I'll post something on topic. I'll second whoever said the hose tecknics hose kit. The worst 50-60 bucks I ever spent. Didn't use half of the hoses and they were just coils of hoses, color tye wraps and a little cigar cutter looking thing. DEFINATLY NOT worth the money!

I bought the car with a ******* roll cage,,,BUUUT my dumb ass didnt ask if it was bloted or welded ...Ya know cause who the hell gets a roll cage first of all,,,and who in their right mind would have it welded to the sub frame,,,The dude that sold me my car...(dumbass) so now when my lazy ass gets around to it....i gotta get a cutting torch and have some fun....Ive been meaning to get it removed but i just keep buying s*** and putting it on my car.Maybe in the back of my head im thinking if i put so much s*** on the car the roll cage wont be noticeable,,,I see it everytime i step into that car,,,,,,,,,,,,,a f'n rollcage (bj) (piss)
I really don't have a mod that I did regret. The only REGRET that I do have (if any) is not taking my Dave B. rings out of my old speed after my dealer trashed it!!!(pissed) Now with my second MSP, i'm having to start all over again....including trying to find some one who wants to part w/ their rings (yah right.....snowball's chance in hell!!).
On second thought......My only biggest regret is buying my MSP from Courtesy Mazda , Las Vegas, NV.

I regret my indiglo gauges. They looked pretty cool for a while, but i broke my temp gauge needle. And ended up taking them off cause half the time they malfunctioned and wouldn't turn on. I am going to regret my injen too, only cause i was young and naive and thats the only mod on a car i knew of at one point. Now i'm going to sell it to someone with 10000 miles on it for a steal.

EDIT: my regret = VIS Evo Hood... It doesn't exactly fit right, I mean I guess for $485 shipped, I shouldn't expect much, but still, dissing out quite a bit of cash, for something that doesn't fit entirely right (gaps on sides are a tad bit big, drivers side goes up a bit, bubbles forming on my hood, LACK of VIS customer support, being put on hold for like 45 min at a time... VIS dun give a s***).. so yeah, no more VIS for me. I'll try to get it sanded down at one point in time i guess but I'm totally outta $$. ...but then again I guess I need to find someone who will take responsibility for the hood in $ damages... in the case that they sand it down too much, and go past the clear coats =O !

I really like it, but if i had realized i was going FI earlier, thats a couple hundred that i could've used towards the turbo...
I don't regret my audio mods either, but that money could've been used towards my turbo too. But its all ok now, i'll be boosted in a few weeks
