Mod choices

Since I'm only 19 and am paying for the MS3 myself, I dont have much cash for mods. I do have the MS CAI, but it's time for something more.

My options (completely unrelated lol) are:

TRZ dog bone- I drove Palerider's MS3 with the mount and I was "wowed" in the difference. Luckily his was broken in a little so I never got to experience the wonderful vibrations that I have heard so much about.

or

PG Test pipe. I would like this for the little extra power, sound, and easy install. I just did a search and there are a few people that have just the test pipe and it seems to be right down my alley.

TO clear up some things, the test pipe deletes the second cat (which is not monitored by the ECU)?? Since I do not have a wideband, is a plug or something included? I can imagine a few extra smells, but should there be any extra smoking? Anything else I should know before getting only a test pipe?

I think I have sold myself on the test pipe unless there are enough reasons to stay away until I can afford a DP as well.

I would like to order either tonight or no later than tomorrow so any quick responses would be greatly appreciated!

test pipe wont do much by itself, if i were you i would pay a local mufler shop to chop off your second cat and put a piece of strait pipe. should cost around $30 for that then with all the money you just saved you can buy the downpipe too! the DP makes the most power out of any mod for the ms3 right now.
 
The corksport DP is like $350. After reading a few threads, most people arent ecstatic with it until a test pipe as well, which is another $200. Although I could easily save and get both, I'd like to get something now. I'd like to keep my cat (instead of throwing it out) for warranty purposes. I have 4,500miles.
 
a test pipe by itself is not at all worthless. dynos have shown over 20HP and 20TQ from a test pipe ! the ecu will not see it is there so no CEL. and yes there is a plug for the extra bung. the CS downpipe by itself is no better than a test pipe. it also only deletes one cat. i have seen several dynos from different members with varying mods. it seems that only a TP make very close power to removing both cats. it is seriously less than a 5HP/TQ difference in most cases. unless you plan on doing tons of mods, i say get the TP. the TRZ mount also rocks ! i think those two mods and a CAI give the most bang for the buck !
 
Test pipe.... Go for the HP first. Then while you save up another $100(for the mount), your car will be faster than mine:)

....of course that will be temporary(drinks)
