Mazdaspeed Dealers that can flash in CT

I have spoken with Modern Mazda. They have the disc to update their machine, and they'll d/l the file tonight (9/11). I will be getting flashed next week.

I'm getting my service appt on tuesday and hopefully the flash. The master tech told me to bring the car down and see what's on the WDS, but he said he has been receiving calls from people about this "flash." So I'm going to call them again on monday to make sure they already dl the flash or they're going to do it that nite. I'll let you guys know once they got the flash and can flash, since I dont' want to give you guys the wrong impression.

Yes, they do. I have appointment for saturday. I talked to Linda in the service department.

Modern is having trouble getting the stuff in their machine from the CD apparently. I might be able to get down there tonight, and pick the car up tomorrow. Either way, the service tech said he can get me in at any point this week, so long as they have it running.

Town & Country have the flash ready to go this morning, unfortunately their WDS die so I have to wait for a replacement. Hopefully tomorrow or the latest at end of this week. What a good timing for it to die.

We'll probably both get it at the same time...BTW, I drove Scapamouche's car (he came to our Bristol Auto-X) which had the flash...ugh! Super sweet! The power just comes out of nowhere...it's not like that expected little flash in the pan...it's just there!

i went to sentry west in shrewsbury cause that's closest to me right now, and the guy was clueless and said they're usually 7-10 days behind when things like this come out. so i called up morande and have an appointment for next weds

Ha! Modern just had a new WDS shipped to them this afternoon. They should have it by Friday...I guess it was a licensing issue with the Ford WDS, and the freakin thing wouldn't take the CD! Oh well...I'll have to try again at the end of the week! Funfunfun!

i need to have my clunk fixed at the same time as having my flash done

and the clunk fix usually takes em overnight, so i gotta wait till i can go without my car for a cple days in case they give me s*** about a loaner

im anxious tho

Got flash this morning at Town & Country. SUck it's raining now, so I couldn't floor it. If you need a flash you can go there. And the speed tech Dave is awesome.

dworkin in derby flashed me without any problems. this was on modayay the 15th. took them about 1.5 hours

New London Mazda did mine with NO prior notice. I just brought the car in around 11am (on a FRIDAY, no less) and they said 'sure, we'll take care of it now.' I got the car back that afternoon good to go...

I just got flashed Saturday morning and I haven't driven much but the power is just there. Smooth is the best way to describe it. It's like you look down and say "oh...I am going fast"

i just got mine flashed at morande, and while i was there an orange one with a c/f evo style hood and gray wheels was there for the flash too. anyone know whose this was?

Morande is actually the closest mazda dealer to me. And while i had a terrible experience with their sales dept and would never buy a car there, i ADORE service. I didnt buy my car there but they have been really great to me. replaced my cracked windshield when they didnt have to. give me loaners without any kind of hassle. Helps that I met a mechanic there through ATVing and he introduced me to the mazdaspeed tech.

Well, this isn't CT, but it's fairly close...kinda....got mine done at Mazda of Newport, RI (Autocenter). That is where I bought the car, and that is where I've been having it serviced. They know me well down there and have been taking care of me...I've been hassleing them since about April re: hesitation and they had no problems doing the flash on my car...in fact, the District Customer Support Manager from PA and the Engineer from NJ both called up the dealership to see how satisfied I was....before I even brought the car in.

Anyway, much happier, but still getting some hesitation...but it's like 20 times better than it was.

they fixed the clunk again too, and between those 2 things it feels like i brought a car in with 20k and picked up a car with 20 miles
