Looking to get 200whp

I'm hoping for 200whp w/ just TBE, FMIC, tuned AFC and a 626 intake manifold. You shouldn't have to increase boost over stock to see 200whp IMO.
I like your positive thinking but I don't know how possible that would be. I put down 206 Hp and 210 TQ in November at 9 PSI with these mods: DSM AFC, GHL TB (with ho-flo cat), Hiboost FMIC, AEM CAI. If I was properely tuned the hp number should be around 215. I just don't see 200 WHP out of 6.5 to 7 psi. It mught just be my car though. The dyno was on a dyno dynamics dyno. I ran 185 HP and they dynojet correct up only 11.5 % so maybe it would render higher if I were to run on a real dynojet dyno or if my exhaust didn't have the high flow cat. But good luck though. I hope you do get those numbers.

dam that is depressing. but one thing you didnt mention was the PG intake and that should bump us up to just above 200

Who knows but every car is different. Just start doing stuff then head to the dyno. I'm not depressed, my car feels great.

My buddy has a Black MSP (DeuceMalicai on the forums I think). I dynoed at 196whp on a dynojet(check link for mods). He runs a upgraded side mount, hardpipes, half injen CAI, vibrant exhaust and the ATP wastegate and he is on my but ALL the time. You should be able to do that easy with those 10 PSI "TUNED". You still risk it though cause you are on stock internals. I play it safe and stick to 5.8 PSI. :)

by that you mean next to you, right? he(Deuce) actually stays ahead on 8psi untuned if he gets the drop or if it's from a dig.....

just trying to promote the use of correct information on the forum(RTM)

wait crap.. so with FMIC, CAI, 7psi, FS-ZE intake cam, VTCS removal, MSP ecu, and 2.5" turboback with high flow cat you're tellin me I might be near 200whp? crap I was aiming for 160, damn damn.. does the stock MSP clutch hold 200whp ok? I just installed the clutch a couple weeks ago when I turboed don't feel like doing it again.

What is your current set up, You have a FMIC and a BOV right? 200whp is reliable and reasonable in this car, 300whp your going to need a forged motor and a stand alone to start of with. 230-250 is a good reliable goal for these cars, but yeah I know I have a big goal too.

well later i wanna change out my rods, pistons. and just run higher boost. later when i got some mad cash i wanna do a full swap. but thats a different story...... fmic, bov, intake, 3' catback exhaust, and working on getting a chip, up intake manifold and whole lotta more money to spend lol...dam cars money pitt.

definately appreciate Jcell and that's definately true.(glare)

fmic, cai, bov, 2.5 cat back exhaust, afc, intake manifold.... with these mods and more to come what kinda numbers do yuo guys think i should be at?? i havent installed the intake or the afc... so hopefully soon ill havent it in and go dyno it.

the IM and AFC @10psi are key to get bigger numbers.

All in all with a good tune you should have about 220whp...

Correct me if im wrong anyone

could i hit 200-250whp with

turbohoses smic..hopefully version 2
PG intake mani
3" vibrant turbo back
DSM AFC
hardpipes and sri
9-10psi

and would it be safe on stock motor? running 92

Please don't forget to upgrade your spark plugs. I would recommend going one stage colder.

Also, it should go without saying that some reliable, well-installed gauges should be used. I am going to go with a boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, and a (eventually wideband) a/f ratio gauge. I think an EGT might not be necessary but it can be helpful in recognizing a problem before the engine is damaged.

I'd also like to suggest motor mounts/inserts at some point, although not immediately necessary.

Good luck!

i already have a stage colder plugs. and as for the gauges i like the stewart warner ones cause they are the same color as our gauges and match almost perfect. i am going to get a 3 gauge pillar with a boost, oil temp, digital tach gauge with shift light for fun and then a wideband under my radio

i'd say oil pressure and egt are more important than a fun tach or oil temp

oh if you want a sweet fitting wideband for our cars, the NGK/NTK Powerdex AFX wideband fits almost snug in the spot where the ashtray goes.. I'm either going to cut a big hole in the ashtray, basically carving out the entire thing because it's that close to being a perfect fit, or just make a new piece out of plastic or something to make it snug.

nice mount indeed, i wanna see some pics when you have it up and running.

I have it placed there now, it stays just fine.. the only reason I need to really mount it is that I don't want it sliding around and getting scratched :)
