Looking to get 200whp

I'd definitely have wideband, oil pressure, boost.

you can get teh NGK wideband that I have and then you don't have to worry about finding yet another place to fit a gauge.

hey kansei!!! i checked out that web page and i saw ur ngk and aem. they say that they are six in one gauge?? whats that all about. so what air/fuel plus iol pressure all into one or something.

i think it also monitors tire pressure? and rotary rpm....

one is accurate, one is a silly light show

Bingo, my autometer Air/Fuel (non-wideband) just flashes around. I just use it to make sure I don't go lean under boost.

nah. It's six in one because it includes a few accessories.. like a silver or black trim ring, silver or black faceplate, or a face with a lambda readout instead of the standard A/F Ratio... but my knowledge of Combinatorics tell me that 2 choose 1 (for the trim ring) times 4 choose 1 (for the gauge faces) = 8. Someone better call up the AEM marketing department, that's more dollars they can be getting from people by claiming it's an "8 in one" gauge. :P

Edit: nope.. just checked, they only include a black lamba gauge face.. so it is "6 in 1".. haha what bs. It's a nice gauge, don't get me wrong.

right right........so itll come it handle in other words?(shocked)

well what is the difference between an air/fuel gauge...and a wideband air/fuel gauge

Somebody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but:

A regular air/fuel gauge using the OEM O2 sensor will only measure the air/fuel ratio at wide-open throttle or some predetermined rpm point.

A wideband O2 gauge using a wideband O2 sensor will constantly measure and display realtime air/fuel ratio throughout the rev range, regardless of throttle position or rpm points.

As somebody pointed out, a regular air/fuel ratio gauge is not much more useful than a little light show.

Fmic

Hey guys im painting my fmic to say something on it. You know like some fmic say greddy, hks, or whatever. Im gonna paint it the same color of my car. Not entirely true . . .
It really has to do with the operating range AFR wise.
The NBO2 (OEM style) is only suited to work well at around 14.7 A/F , which is stoic point for gasoline. However, at WOT the motor runs in closed loop mode which is from the fuel/ timing map, BECAUSE you want to be richer than stoic of course - and that means the NBO2 can't do any good. NBO2 only give the motor feedback during cruising and is stricly for mileage purposes. Using a NBO2 to tune by is a terrible idea. I have tried it on the camaro and the results are very marginal because they are not very repeatable. You can't trust it!

Now the WBO2 is great for everything - it reads all the way from about 8:1 to >20:1 so you can see exactly where you are at. The WBO2 is MUCH more expensive to manufacture, much more complex to control than a NBO2. Just for reference, some of the newer Hondas have a "lean burn" technology where they run leaner than 14.7:1 at cruise and low load conditions - the WBO2 makes this possible. Gas mileage up! I can run my carb'd small block chevies at around 16:1 or so at cruise and get better mileage than you could at 14.7. In my opinion, a NBO2 on a turbo car pretty much sucks. The computer has no chance to adapt at all. I guess that's why the need for EMS and WBO2!!

I have an Innovate LM-1 WBO2 with the LMA-3 and I can datalog TPS, MAP, fuel pressure, RPM, WBO2 signal, plus nitrous on/off ---- on a carburetor. The innovate site is great for offering ideas, support, etc., as well, although it's more of the carb. crowd mostly.

what are you gonna say?

motor: custom fmic, awr motor mounts and inserts, perrin bov, injen cai, 2.5inc cat back exhaust, afc unit

suspen: Tien s springs(which im selling), tokico premium struts, racing beat front and rear sway bars.

inside: tenzo boost gauge, short shifter, pioneer indash dvd, mazdaspeed nob.

I think thats everything, but i know theres more

in the works: Fully custom bulit motor, and upgraded turbo to a t3 t4, custom turbo manifold, bigger intercooler, intake, and bov

s*** LOAD OF CASH!!! WHAT A MONEY PITT!!

What Luck

Hey guys! I took my ride in to get tuned, because i already blew one motor. When i took it in they tell me its making a knocking noise. Im like great this motor only has 23,000 miles and its already ******!? So they're checking it out from underneath, cause they took off the 2 oil pans, and its the first rod bent like a banna!!!! So i got saved before this motor blew!! So i said F it. Lets bulid the bottom end motor and get it over with. Later i can put a bigger turbo and not have to put a better motor. So Im gonna through in some better rods, pistons, value job, alum pulley. So now i dont have to worry about this s*** again. What you guys think?(rockon)
