Cause there's no boost going to the wastegate, it wil lalways stay closed, so all the exhaust is gonna be going over the turbo all the time. It can overspin it...

weird...dana never heard of this..just as i've never.

yeah you will overspin the turbo and blow the seals.

What you can do and what we mostly do is remove the center cartridge w/ compressor and leave the turbine housing in place.

You will need to fabricate a flange to put it into the hole left. This way, a turbo repair will not disable the car and continue using it.
