Once again as I go to do an oil change I end up under my car for 3 hours.
First the oil filter is damn near impossible to move as always so i wrestle with that for 1/2 hour until I can get enough raw torque on ito to move it.
As it finally starts to loosen up I get it half way off and then
SPARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep thats right electrical sparks start shooting.
Of coarse I get the hell out form under the car ASAP and get the battery disconnected.
So atleast I know no matter what happens I have that going for me.
I get back under the car and my 1/0 wire to the alternator is nice and warm. I disconnect it an sure enough the damn thing had warn out down to the crimp connection and grounded to the alternator chassis.
I retaped it, added loom, taped more, added a small stip of metal and taped more.
That will never gorund out agian
