Intercooler question

IIRC the kid who had that car has since sold it, with a few issues as well...

I could be completely wrong though.

what was your questions regarding the intercooler? or did you just want to know who owned that vehicle?
 
I'm pretty sure that was boostedorange's car which has been subsequently been sold.
 
I just wanted to know the size and the make of the intercooler.

why does he have his turbo sit so high and why does he have an exact 90 degree elbow before his TB?
 
because it was a kit that was pieced together and done on the cheap.

the turbo sits soo high because it isnt a GT25 or a GT28rs turbo... looks like a T3 turbo, which requires a different manifold. That manifold places the turbo in that position. As for the IC piping? I have no idea why he would have done that (dunno)

Nutari - if you read up on the car, he did cheap out in a lot of aspects of this vehicle performance wise... It wasnt running very well when I read about the vehicle, which is why (IIRC) he got rid of the thing.
 
G'damn that yellow one with the TE37s is HOT. Mostly because I'm in love with those wheels.

Yeah you might want to do some research before you open your mouth. He bought every single part on that car second or third hand. You're 2 for 2 in this thread.

the turbo sits the way it does because he chopped the flange off of the manifold, flipped it over and re-welded it. the engine was bought from corksport and the kid routinely went forum to forum advertising it as a "500 whp Protege" even though the car lacked engine management. he would routinely ask for my advice and then do totally the opposite of it if the price was right (read - CHEAPEST GHETTO WAY IMAGINABLE). he tried to scam a few customers/friends of mine out of quite a bit of money as well as some forum members here. last i heard, the car was sitting on a dealer lot being advertised by the dealer as a "500 whp Protege" and the kid bought an Evo. he also told the dealership that a "protegegarage sponsorship came with purchase of the car." (stooges)

which reminds me, i need to pull that car off the website.
