Installing P5 rear strut bar??

does anyone know what kind of paint is good for painting the front strut bar? the stock p5 one? i want it to match my car so i am gonna paint it, but what kind to use?

i wouldnt advise it...but someone in another thread advised using the quick release bolts on bicycles...some bikes have the quick release on the front wheel and he advised using those. could get them at a bike store. he said they should be the same size...but i've never tried.

i was one of the first to do this mod before when they only had the autoexe bar that cost a crap load. this mod is the most bang for buck i would have to say.i did buy the GT trunk braces to upgrade but decided it would create less space for me and for my kids stuff, so i sold it L8R =).

QRs for bikes have a very small diameter bolt that would go through the bar ends. I would want a specialty QR with larger diameter bolt if using on these.

I wouldn't advise taking the bar in and out anyways. I might be wrong but since its a good idea to jack the car up before you install the bar in the first place you would have to jack the car up every time you took the bar out if you wanted the bar to work right that is.
