Installed Injen cold air, now seems to have turkey flutter

Like the title says I installed an Injen cold air this morning. Everything else is stock under the hood. Definitely can hear the spool alot louder which is nice but seems to have what Ive read to be the "turkey flutter" when you shift. Not sure if its actually the flutter but I wasnt under the impression that the bpv was that loud. Hard piping ETS sidemount are on the way and Im gonna run the dual setup with a Greddy RZ so just seeing if this is something I should be worried about? or if maybe running the dual setup will eliminate it?

the "turkey" is actually compressor surge and odds are it was doing it before you replaced your intake. you can actually just hear it now as it is not muffled through airboxes and what not.

the problem is the size of the inlet outlet on the bpv, doesnt let enough air through, dual valve will allow more air to be released so you wont hear the surge anymore

(the sure at low boost and with a ball bearing turbo is a lot less damaging than on a journal bearing turbo)

Once you run your dual setup it should pretty much cure it , make sure to adjust your bov t'il you dont hear it

No need to run a dual valve setup, it makes everything more complicated and cluttered than it should be. The Turkey was always there, you just couldn't hear it as well with the stock intake. Compressor surge doesn't damage ball bearing turbo's like ours so you are fine. I have an FMIC and hard pipes and run a single HKS BOV and don't have any turkey noise.

I run an HKS BOV with a 1" recirc. pipe, and it still flutters. It is definitely not true compressor surge though. This topic has been beaten to death. When you experience true, full-scale compressor surge you'll know it.

My theory is the flutter noise made is from the soundwaves being recirculated into the spinning turbo fins.

Almost sounds like a singled Supra BOV to me.
