hey fk im setting up a new iraqi photo thread more organized should be up in like 15 minutes or so... :D

I agree... its very easy for people to judge others from afar, but if you were there and HAD been shot at as many time as these guys probably have then how would you conduct yourself?

I would have gone mad by now, ran into the deseret and started a camael spider farm!
Another reason I am not in the military........its a long list.

:D

turn the other cheek aparently.
just so it can get shot as well. I've tried to stay out of the hole war thing b/c its a never ending arguement, kinda like abortion. but you know what, its about time we did somehting. bush didn't lie to the public, he said they had weapons of mass destruction, what the hell do you call sadam? if he isn't a WMD, i don't know what is. and ANY who hasn't gone over there and or been envolved in a war before, shut the "f" up, or you'll be next on the list ;)

hey, austin, where are you at anyway? and, yes, this question does have relevance........oh, i just noticed you said you support our troops. ok. do me favor.....next time you're sitting safely at your computer, remember why it is you are able to do that. because our troops, some of which you are insinuating are murderers, are risking their own lives every single day to make sure puppets like yourself have the freedom to believe whatever you want, and post your twisted views on the web. just my worthless opinion. (cheers)

That video was AWSOME!!! Payback is a b****! War is hell!

Like I said before many times. "Its not our job to judge our enemies. Thats gods job. But, its our job to arrange the meeting!"

Good job out there guys!

(werd) to everyone who supports us!

oh those morons remind me of martin lawrence in bad boys II, where he wants to talk to the people, and will smith is like "THEY CANT HEAR YOU, BECAUSE THEYRE TOO BUSY SHOOTING!!!"

It's the definition of WAR. It's not my place to criticize the men and women of my country risking their lives to insure that I can sit in this chair and chat with you guys without the worry of whether my freedom will be here tomorrow or not. Because with soldiers like that I know my freedom will not be jeopardized by political correctness.

Heres one where I definitely agree with matthew. Regardless of my feelings about the war and whether or not we belong there, it is those pilots responsibility to protect themselves and their fellow soldiers. I wasn't there, but from my perspective that could very easily have been a weapon capable of destroying the apache they were in. I am a concerned about shooting the wounded Iraqi, but he could have picked up the weapon and still posed a threat.

Yes, I admit that when I first started this post it was in a little one sided. And thats why I started it I wanted everyone's view point on the issue. Its not like I dont know anyone in the military , I live Killeen , Right next to Fort Hood, The largest military base in the western hemisphere. My family and friends are in the military. I showed this to my father (A Retired CW4) today and wanted his option, I know where he stoop but he said that he was not going to judge because he has been in a war time situation before. I think the biggest problem that most of the news that we do get is one sided or does not have the complete story and not all the time they can get the complete story. No, I was not there and dont know the entire situation but if it was a war crime not matter what country around the world does it, I would want it the be handled as such!

the politicians want you to believe that this is not another vietnam. it's definitely not. but the similarities are there. i know a few vietnam vets who faced teh same troubles as our soldiers now. he was walking along and a farm girl was tending her rice field, and when the company walked past her after she smiled and gave a thumbs up, she pulls out an AK-47 and blast the crap out of them.

these events day in and day out led to things like the my lai massacre, where an innocent town got executed. but then again, in the heat of battle and in the face of constant attack, stuff like this WILL happen.

whatever the video doesn't show, we will never know. we probably won't know till much later after this war of things that occur over there. until then, let's hold judgement on what the troops are or aren't doing.

and to ghost's statement about it's not our job to judge who the enemy is... well, the people of iraq have lived through one terror. are we the next? are we going to indiscriminately shoot iraqi's? remember, it's a select FEW who are against us. the majority of the iraqi people are innocent bystanders. let's not forget that they, too, are people.

it's like vietnam. the longer the war goes on, the less people are for it. in 1960, a little over 85% of the american population was for the war. by 1967, only 40% of americans were for the war. it just goes on with time. we've hit 500+ casualties now. i think the more people we lose, the less people will be for the war. even in the ranks of the military (over christmas, i visited with a few of my high school friends who just got back in late november) and even they said there is dissent from within the military. to them, it's just a job and war time pay is very good. but beyond that, they hate everything about it.

OK then tell that to the soldiers and marines that died when a bomb blew up in a car full of kids that they were trying to help. Tell that to the to their parents. How about telling that to the 2000+ families that were affected in sept.11.

Why should we restrain ourseves? WHY?

As long as we are showing them that we dont take no s***, they will not attack us. Now they are running scared in Afganistan, Iraq, Iran, Libya.

How are you going to tell if one of those basterds is a combatant or not? Do you think your going to respawn back in base when they blow the **** out of you like Unreal or Quake? NO! You dont get a second chance. I will kill ANYONE who is a threat to my platoon, family, friends in a war. As I see it, you pick up a gun in a war you are an enemy that can kill. Then you gotta go.

There is no time to think about" ohh but its just an old farmer" by that time your DEAD! Dont compare this war with Vietnam, this time we dont have cowards governing our country. And when the troops get home they are seen as hero's.

they hate the war because were away from our families, and they see that people in the united states hate everything theyre doing and risking their lives for.

This time were bringing the fight to them, and they can handle it. Let them hide like rats. The longer they do hide the safer we are.
