personally, i am against the war as a concept, however, because we are in it, i support those (like matthew) that are contributing to it being finished, i have enough faith in the goverment that they know more then I know and they can make the right desicieon for me. if i didn't think i could trust them, and i think this goes for everyone, if you can't trust their desicion making, move to canada.(canada) (nothin against canada, its a great place)

i think the pilot in the vid was doing the absolute correct thing, and all the ppl cryin about how he is shootin down a buncha farmers are full of s***, i have seen some pics ( in my sheltered little life) mainly the ones in newsweek i think of some terrorists shooting down a DHL plane (tryin to at least, it was able to land on fire) and that really makes you suspicious of everyone, even farmers could be packin somethin to really **** you up if they get the chance

I dunno if anyone has pointed this out yet. I pose this question to the humanitarians that are so worried about the rules of engagement being broken.

Suppose this is a genuine outright war crime. Suppose these are innocent farmers?

DO YOU REALLY THINK MOST PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY GIVE A FLYING ****???????????

"War Crimes" has to be the most idiotic concept ever. Send me over there in harms way with a rifle in my hand and Im going to collect war crimes like baseball cards.

Call me an ignorant moron but the italian in me wants to make sure I commit the greater wrong when someone ***** with me.

AND TO THE PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD WHO HAVE SERVED AND PARTICLULARY THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED IN WARTIME...........MY MOST SINCERE AND RESPECTFUL THANKS FOR DEFENDING MY COUNTRY AND ITS INTERESTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta disagree with you on one point here- Anyone with a "Love it or Leave it" attitude is just plain wrong. One of the greatest things about this country is that we are free to voice our opinions, question authority, and disagree with any administration. I didn't hear that sort of talk from those that supported clinton, but it seems to be a pretty common theme today.

that's true, i guess the people i have a problem with are the ones who don't vote and then b**** and moan about stuff, if you don't vote, you are in a way forfeting your right to complain about the outcome of things, you got a chance to put in your piece and didn't.

I'm sure the few military guys we have in here will back me up on this one...that video is legit. It looks like a five ton truck on the right. I don't care if they were holding pitch forks...farmers or not. Are you calling MY army a bunch of unprofessionals? we know what we do, why we do it, and who we do it for. Believe it or not...we even do it for the s**** that complain about war and cry about "omg war crimes". Give me a break...ever done something because you believe it's the right thing to do? But then people throw rocks at you because "they think it's wrong?" Have a spine and stand up for your countrys government and military. If you don't like it...well ****** jump on the s*** wagon and get the hell out. I'de gladly let it a few grateful immigrants than listen to a bunch of selfish american ***** that don't know really what freedom is or what it costs. Army Pride!!

I for one support the war and the troops. Although the latter should be a given especially if you live in the US. In the video I believe the apache was just protecting itself and other americans in the area. They received permission to engage and they got the job done. Not sure what the hold up is. They did their job.

I hope everyone remembers that not all iraqis are enemies though. There are people there just like you and me who are just trying to make a life for themselves. It's just that less than 1 percent that are ruining it for everyone.

I also have a major problem with people who don't vote- I haven't voted for a democrat or republican since I started voting- unless that candidate actually impressed me. By and large I find that the major parties both have a tendency to lie, bash on the other party, and as a generalization, not a whole lot really changes. (that they could truly control anyway) As I have already stated, I think it is not only your right, but also your responsibility as an american that if you see something that you feel is wrong, you should point it out, hopefully if there really is a problem people will be open enough to at least listen to possibilities, even if they don't necc. agree. Unfortunately, I see so many people who are rabidly behind (insert your party here) that they will do nothing but name call or accuse the person of being unpatriotic.
