I know what you mean about modding. I had a custom Kramer Baretta built by Gibson who bought out Kramer's leftover stock. This guitar came with all the options, coil tapping, allen wrench holder on the headstock, locking trem, Eddie Van Halen Drop-D tuner, Floyd Rose, 24-fret, dual humbuckers. I changed all the electronics over from stock wiring to EMG wiring including Zakk Wylde 81/85 active pickups, active jack, 2 short pots. All that I have left to do with wiring is change the 3-way selector switch. It currently has a black plastic electronics cover. I have already cut a cover out of clear plastic and plan to smoke it a bit. Was considering building a custom circuit board to replace all the wiring in the back. Had the guitar painted at a car shop with the "true fire" style paint job. The shop was painting a giant truck with that style and threw my guitar in the mix. Here is a before and after. ( I can't dont have a better "after pic" at work, but I have some at home)
