Guitarists?

I never understood why more guitarists don't play fingerstyle? I mean, you've got 4 fingers and a thumb right there on the strings. Why use a pick? I just love watching Jeff Beck play. Great right hand technique.

Cam, I'll watch those when I get home with better speakers and don't have to try to hide the fact I'm not working. At all. haha

^ I battle this daily ^
I play finger style all the time for fun. It's not as versatile as bass being our strings are a smaller gauge and closer together. Hence why classical guitars have larger gaps between the strings.

Ahhhh, I completely forgot about that aspect. I learned guitar on my classical so when I play one of Phens it's a total PITA. haha

I learned a lot of the clean parts from "Creed" and "Alterbridge" that Mark Tremonti wrote. Love finger style but I've never incorporated it into my band's music. I like playing classical pieces too like Dee from "Randy Rhodes" and Love Song from "Tesla"

Playing guitar and bass for around 17 years!

Currently slinging very modified G&L Legacy, LP Custom and Classic Vibe '50s Tele. A couple acoustics, and various 4, 5 and 6, string basses.

More amps than I can shake a stick at.

I also run a business custom building and restoring/repairing amps. I'd post a link, but I'm not sure if I'd run afoul of the vendor rules?

You should be fine. This is a guitar thread and it's guitar related. I'm interested. Plus, it's not like you're harassing us about buying your car parts

both Dee and Love Song are fun. I used to play "The Way It Goes" by Tesla all the time. I had written a finger-style song, and recorded it... but damned if we could find the recording anywhere.

I don't believe you'd be hitting any vendor rules if you posted up a link.

Well in that case! I'm happy to share!

I'm always up for talking gear. And I'm always willing to answer any questions! This forum has been hugely helpful to me around car info, so if I can return the favour with my music gear foo then I'm all to happy!

Someone like you is who I would want to take my '72 Twin Reverb to... If it wouldn't cost half a million dollars to send to you. LOL.

Wait! are my drum talks/bass talks no accept O_O

The thread is called guitarist Chris, GTFO!

All is good. We may need to change the thread name to "Musicians?" but then that might invite everyone, including Trumpet players, those filthy bastards Jk Jk

Have I ever posted a pic of my trumpet?
