Everytime I drive my mp3, the more and more i love it.

Today I was driving by myself just cuz I felt like it. It was 10:30pm and I was bored as hell so I wanted to drive. I was heading to an on ramp when this red SI starts to tail me. So i'm goin about 30 and down shift it to 2nd just right before the on ramp. The suggested speed for that on ramp is 25 mph. So I was able to take it at about little under 50 mph. Thanks to the dunlops sp 9000s and the suspension, i was able to grip the whole turn. The SI behind me started to slow down on the whole turn. As soon as we hit the freeway, I punched it while the SI was about 3 car lengths behind. As soon as I got to 5000 RPMs, the SI started to creep. It passed me up goin about 10mph faster than me. He signaled to me to take a juction exit to a highway that was all uphill. So I followed him. The recomended jct. speed was 40 mph, I was able to go 70 off it :-D. Now the SI infront of me slowed down so he could take it. Problem was, he started to understeer and the car moved to the outside goin about 60 mph. I passed him on the inside. After that there were 3 consecutive high speed turns. Everyone I was able to grip at 65-70 mph while the SI understeered at every corner. Seeing that he understreed at every corner, I hit the hazzards and ended it. I wish I could have done it Initial D style but since the mp3 is a FF, eh... oh well.

I love my mp3!

Yeah, I used to do silly stuff like that too when I first got my car. Until I scared the s*** out of myself and my best friend on a freeway entrance. I got through the ass out completely sideways at the end of a hard turning freeway entrance and we were facing the concrete barrier while sliding sideways at about 15 mph. I somehow managed to get the car to drift back forward. But we were luck that night and I vowed to never pull a stunt like that again. I was doing it to show off to the street racers behind me how awesome this car handling is.

Make sure you only make hard turns like that in the dry weather. I definately wouldn't recommend those kind of speeds in the wet weather. Make sure practice some hard driving in the wet, so you'll know how the car is going to react under certain conditions. Of course, make sure practice in a safe place. Have fun, but remember.....we don't have ABS or EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution) like the MSP.

it was one of the 99-00 ones. Besides The only time I do this kind of stuff is late at night with minimal traffic. other than that, I wanna go practice in an empty parking lot.

yeah i'lll go ahead tell my infamous story...

me and two friend are in my mp3 about a week after i got so i decide to take this turn going about 55 that was about a 35mph turn in my 91 Z28. well needless to say this was a black asphault road with a crown i hit the peak of the crown and the ass slid out. thinking quickly i downshifted into first and floored it pull the front end back out a little so i slid into a ditch going about 5 mph sliding the whole way. when i look at all the trees and fence posts i could have hit i want to slap myself everytime i go around that turn. i now take that turn at 30 mph due to being scared shitless of it. needless to say it was a nice drift

Don't have a MP3, but here in Philly there's a underpass that has a posted 30mph speed limit and I took it at 80!

I went through this pass every night on my way back to school really late, so I wasn't endangering anyone else. After several times, I kept it at 80 and felt the grip just keep me on the ground. Adrenaline RUSH!

I have done a 360 on wet asphault before doing like 35mph around a 15mph, 90 degree curve. Scared the you know what out of me. I still take corners faster then I should, but I try to do it in dry weather only.
Best thing is to know you and your cars limits.
