The gate keepers in the cooling system

So temp A is from the primary sensor near the thermostat. Temp B is from the sensor on the firewall near the heater core. Does A have anything to do with B?

I'm not aware of any relationship between the 2 temperatures.

Found one coolant temp sensor on the CX-3. It is at the bottom center of the radiator. Still looking for the other one and also the CCV.

The drawing on the diagram doesn't show the shape of the thermostat that I am familiar with. It is a younger sibling...
