Him well I wouldnt doubt then there was a manufacturing error. Thats a fact because I know my crank pulley was a little off.

Exactly, and whos to say it wasn't ligned up? That may be as well though, would be nice if you had another one to compair it too. I just would think that since yours was in the same batch as mine they would all be the same, mine fits the belt perfectly.

go take a picture of yours real quick and we will see if mine was installed properly as you seem to think it wasn't. Plus you would be able to tell just by looking at the belt if it was installed inproperly.

Edit: Jeg when I get home from work tonight I will take a picutre just for you.

thanks ill take a picture when i get home.

Edit:
If the pulley was installed backwards the belt woudlnt line up and if someone were to get a belt on. The belt would break or pop off before the pulley would break or thats what i would think anways.

OK, did this happen pressing it on the shaft? Looks like it went on a bit past being flush like oem. Shaft looks to be protruding about an 1/8 or more. Or did this happen while in use? & what happened to your alt pulley? Caught wind of design change but didn't know why it was being changed or that there would be a swap out of any sort.

No, it did not happen when I was pressing it on. I made the how-to several months ago and the pulley just broke recently. I pressed the pulley on a tiny bit (1/16") too far, but I added some thin washers on one side of the pump's mounting brackets to correct that.

I don't get it, someone said the same thing when a dude posted his pics of the belt not lining up properly (on the pulley itself) a few pages back. The grooves in the pulley not matching up with the notches in the belt has nothing to do with how far the pulley is pressed on. (scratch)

Hey 505zoom, when did the pulley break like that? Was it being driven or still being installed? No offense, but it looks like it was possibly installed poorly.

No offense taken. The only problem with my install was that I had to tighten the tensioner down much more than normal because of the above problem. The pulley was tracking straight, wasn't wobbling, and for a few months there was doing it's job just fine. It broke just out of the blue one day while driving.

I've got the 4pc. set and haven't installed them yet. Now with these issues popping up......just don't know.

Can anyone else chime in with their positive experiences with these pulleys?

Brach/Medieval
Did you get a chance to read my PM yet?

Well if you have the orig PS pulley I would highly suggest holding on installation of that one and see what Brach is gong to do on a redesign.

As far as my ALT pulley I honestly think mine was just a bad one. No one else had had issues with their ALT pullies yet but their is always a first. It just looks like my pulley got machined down a little to far on that last grove.

However on the upside my WP pulley looked fine!!! No stress marks, cracks or anything on a quick look over!

as of 5/29, no screws..(uhm)..i'm done(sick)

Isn't this frustrating? I received the first envelope ripped and only containing 2 screws. Then I get a second envelope like a month later ripped with 1 screw in it. That was the beginning of this month and nothing since then. If the first envelope ripped and screws fell out, why would you try sending them again the exact same way? And now when you ask him where you screws are he tells you to send him a PM, which he never response to.

That's most likely what broke the pulley. The belt was too tight. When the belts are too tight, it puts excess stress on the pullies and components.

Yeah...But the grooves are off on these pullies..so to keep them from slipping..these guys are having to overtighten them....The pullies arent quite right..the belts don't fit quite like the OEM ones.

The grooves need to be redone to get this right.

The spoke areas in between the holes are too thin... cranking down on the belt caused my pulley to break quickly, but how well are they going to hold up over time under normal tension? Tough to say either way.

The replacement pulley supposedly shipped, although the tracking isn't working yet. If I get it, hopefully it does not have the same groove problem as the first one did.
