As you may or may not know, I have decided to move on and get a new 2005 WRX sedan. As much as I love my MSP, I have always loved the WRX, even before it was even available in the U.S.

So why didn't I get a WRX instead of the MSP in the first place? Because I thought the WRX was ugly, both inside and out. I was excited when they redesigned the exterior in 2004, but I was very disappointed when I saw the same crappy old ugly interior.

Now with the 2005 model year, Subaru finally got things right. The interior is much nicer, has higher quality materials, and has useable cupholders, as well as automatic climate control and a better steering wheel.

The potential of the boxer engine as well as the AWD is very tempting to me.

I need to sell my MSP unless I find a local Subaru dealer that will offer me a fair trade-in on the MSP, which so far, hasn't happened. I've only been to one dealer though.

So if you have any friends or family who love your car, and want one for themselves, let them know that I am selling my 2003.5 Titanium MSP with 25,000 miles for $15,500.

I will most definitely remain active on these boards, so don't think of it as me leaving the community. I'll just be the lone Subaru at the local Mazda meets!

Sell out! :D

Where are you located? (Something more precise that "center of infinity" would help.)

And you pretty much nailed the WRX story that I would have said. . .liked it but too ugly. . .and they have come a long way, just not far enough for me yet.

Good luck with the new toy (once you get there)!

They're friggin' nice, end of story (I loved them before they came to the U.S. as well)...good luck jersey...I know you will, but keep us posted....

My screen name should help out a bit ;)

I'm from NJ, and can personally deliver the car within a 5 hour drive of central NJ.

I'm willing to ship the car anywhere in the country, it costs $625 to do so, I'll pay part of it, so just tack on $500 for delivery

hmmm I hated the 2002 or 2003 model I hated the frog lights. I love the 2004 exterior but only like the STi. Havent really seen the 2005 model but it should be good.

Only problem is Boxer engines are pigs and add AWD..there goes your gas milage. PLus I never understood why subaru never went with a TT design...just kinda weird to have the turbo behind the #3 cylinder. No "equal length" exhaust. but it has potential and good aftermarket support. Im a huge fan of the evo cuz of the handeling and the WRX is good but didnt really show in the top gear results. EVo (not US version) was devistating with all those gadgets...as good as a lambo Gallardo.

Damn...MSP are falling one by one. I would just wait for the Mazdaspeed 6...just as much potential with better handeling. Just a but on the heavy side...nothing that more boost wont cure...lol. Good luck! I want pics!

Jersey - Good choice bud...I actually prefer the 2004 exterior, but just don't like the Momo wheel. It's like they picked the ugliest wheel they found in the catalog!

I just love the sound of the boxer revving, and hope to replace my P5 in a number of years with a WRX wagon. Then I can change my plate to: HAULNA55.

Enjoy your new ride. The WRX kind of grows on you. Its gotten good reviews in the long term test as well. The AWD will be better suited for the winters up there.

well, i am not surprised. the aftermarket for them is huge, you get a year round sports car (something the msp is definately not damn fwd...) looks and safety. I was trying to get one before the speed but my bank account just couldnt handle the punishment. What do those run stock 14.3?

Best I've seen is a 14.1

Its sad another MSP'er leave. (sad1) I think for how much you are spending on the WRX, I would get the EVO VIII. (screwy)

Can't stand the EVO interior, and insurance is too high. WRX is actually cheaper for insurance than the MSP.
