Getting a 2005 WRX...

What is invoice on those? I'm pretty sure it's around 19k. That's the price I got on a new 04 WRX without the wing and no options. Of course, this was through a dealership that sponsored the rally car of the shop I used to work at, so it could be below invoice, but I'm pretty sure it was right at invoice.

Hmm...I looked at the interior 306 degree view at www.subaru.com , and I didn't see anything that great. Am I missing something?
Go sit in a 2002-2004 WRX and compare. The new interior is far superior in appeal to the eye.

I am happy with the headunit. I'm not even going to touch the sound system just because its not in any plans for this car. I think its good enough. I don't even know of any othre cars outside of the MP3 that came with this type of sound system stock setup, which i think is nice for a stock car.

Damn that is really cheap! My friend just got a new wrx not to long ago and he spent 24k out the door

I agree the wrx is sweet... I remember when my friend had his wrx (before he traded it in for a neon srt4) and he launched in it like damn near 5 thousand, dumped the clutch and it felt scary. Of course I was lit at the time so that might be a factor(eyeballs)

No it's like that even when you're not under the influence of your drug of choice ;)

WRXes and other powerful AWD cars can pull >= 1 g's when accelerating from a stop....so it's similar to the feeling of freefall...

I love my '04 WRX. I think the '05 interior has too much Saab influence. I think the original interior is more "racey" as they say. You'll love everything about it and look forward to driving it all the time. Yeah...the AWD is so $$ in any type of weather. What hydro-planing? What snow? Traction...traction...traction. For a total of $1500 you can run 13.2's no propblem. Cobb Tuning AccessPort and TBE 285hp.

The best 1/4 mile I have seen in a stock 14.1 and 14.0 :D

If you launch just right at 5k rpm I swear it feels like a rollercoaster.

Well, I drove the '04, and loved the straightline power, but like the srt-4, that seems to be all it offers (for me, as winter road conditions are non-existant here). I actually wanted a rex really bad...but the deaer said he couldn't do any better than $25.5. I told him "Well, I'm not leaving town today without a car, and if you can't come down, I can get the MSP for more than 6k less." He said "I wish I could..." BAM! That's all I needed to hear. Besides, I got 0% for 5 yrs. 4 yr/50,000 mile warranty Subaru couldn't come close. But that's okay, as soon as I get this baby paid off, we'll see what's out there.

Heck, I love my Mazdaspeed Protege - I have it where I want it now. However, I did do the numbers to look at a Evo or STI and tried to value if $100-$150.00/more per month was worth the move, and at this point, nothing makes me have a hands down decision to do it.

I just got addicted to modding. I like shinny things...

...and it just kept on going from there.

You can go 13.40's easy w/ a MSP for less than $1400.

And next week when I borrow Ehawleys new drg radials I have a funny feeling that 13.2's are gonna be coming pretty easy.....

The WRX is the only other car I have seriously considered. Whenever my MSP is acting stupid, I often dream of a problem-free, hard-launching, no snowtire changing type car. I think Subaru's are the only other cool cars aside from Mazda. Plus, since the Lance Armstrong endorsement, I am under the impression that Subarus cure cancer. Enjoy smokin' mad fools with your WRX...but always retain your Zoom-Zoom.

NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO

there has to be something in the water in new jersey.

But on the real if i could afford an sti i would have one personally i love the 02's i tried to get one then but it wasnt in the cards. i hope you enjoy your car and im NEVER trading my speed. (but i do plan to buy a wrx or sti soon)
