EVO I Body Kit

I was wondering any of you have seen this Body Kit.. This is the kit im getting on my 03 Protege es (red mica).. The picture shown is for 99-00 but i already checked to make sure that they made it for the 3rd gens and they do...Its fiberglass kit how do they hold up etc compared to Polyurathane (sp?)..

99-00 are 3rd gen protege's.

3rd gen goes from 99-2003.5. You should have asked if they fit the 2001-03 protege since these have different headlights than the 99-00.

I would hate for you to spend $800 on a kit to only find out that the front bumper won't fit. That would suck.

anyways, its a bad design, the whole bumper faces down at an angle.

Yeah I seen an EVO kit at the carlise show and they guy that put it on said that the screw holes don't even line up. Plus he said that he had alot of custom work that he had to do because the kit had alot of blemishes:bs: . I would stay away.

poly urethane is heavier than fiberglass, but its more flexible and isn't as apt to crack or break for that matter if you scrape or hit something.

I hate to burst all of your bubbles but my best friend just put this kit on his Silver 2002 Protege ES. They do have a version that fits the newer models you just have to ask for it. It cost $500.00 for installation and painting AT THE DEALER. It fits just as good as any other body kit. Looks really nice on his car. I will try to get pics if I can. I bought the kit for him because I owed him $1200 bucks and we agreed that this would be the best way to pay him back. So I bought him the EVO body kit, some GC coilovers and the foglights for the body kit ($110 when bought with the kit) and we called it even. He paid for the install and all that. He loves it, plus there is a hella lotta room for a really big intercooler under that front bumper. May be doing that later.

The kit is made by JT Autostyle and it shipped from CA when I bought it. Just my $.02, thought I would share since I actually bought one.

the problem with that ad though is that is says it kits 98-03 proteges and never mentions that you need to specify a year. i don't want him buying the kit and then having to send it back for while the company asks him why he didn't just say he needed the kit for the XX year protege.

i guess the kit looks like its crammed in there from the angle they took the picture. you now better than me how it looks in person though.
