Supp Does any one know where i can get a used enegine from besides corksport.com i want a turbo charged engine for my 93 1.8 4cly 5spd protege also does anyone know where i can get straight up tranny's new or used i want to make it so that i have 6spd and slip driffential. thanks for any help!!!!!

1. What exactly are you looking for? A stock turbocharged Mazda engine or a N/A engine to be turbocharged?
If you are looking for a stock turbocharged Mazda motor, you have 2 choices for your Protege, both are labelled "BPT" however one(out of Familia GT-Xs) is 180hp, while the other(out of 323 GT-Rs) is rated at 210hp. Corksport carries them, as you mentioned, but you can find them on E-bay aswell. You'll be paying $800(for just the motor) or around $1500 for a front clip(includes motor, trans, wire harness, ECU, etc etc).
2. 6 speed? What's the purpose of that? First off, you won't find one, and the BP motor has plenty of low end power that shifting through an extra gear doesn't do much.
3. You already have a slip-differential, all it does is slip and you get 1 tire fire consistently, atleast I do.
Limited slip units have been retrofitted from the MazdaSpeed Protege to the 1st gen Protege's G-series(or F?) transmission. I, however, don't know how it's done so I can't explain further.

well i was looking on corksport.com i i decided i want the gtx and they said it would cost me 1400.+ shipping i just wanted to know if there where any other place where i could look around for turbo charged engines for my 93 protege
as for as slip differential im not shure if i do have it but if i dont i was told that for me to get it it all depened on the cam-shaft if it was single or double and
and if i had to get a whole new or used tanny i might as well go ahead and put 6-spd it's gonna be more looks any way

pm TheMAN on clubprotege. there are several g-series transmissions with lsd's, or you can do the mazdaspeed.
