ECU Reprogramming

It would be possible. The 350Z had a horrible stock ecu that would counter-correct every performance modification done to it, so basically your 10hp gain initially after you reconnected the battery would turn into a 0hp gain after 10ignition cycles. A company up in chicago tore into the ecu and broke the code and now offers PnP PCM flashes for 350Z's. It CAN be done, but I doubt anyone would take the time to do it.

Just think how nice it would be to take that friggin 137mph limiter off the car... :)

it's been discussed before.
i think the outcome was that it IS elecronically limited.

whatever i hit at 137 it was electronic... It shut the engine down exactly as i hit that number. The tranny still had more left in it and so did the engine. But I would have to agree that it is electronic.

it's definatly governed.
but with it removed I would estamate the top speed of the MSP at about 150 or so.

yes mazda has always installed electronic governors on all their 4cyls...funny thing is the 6cyls have no such inhibitor....

Thats because no one be crazy enough to go that fast with a 6cyl.......duh. lol

I'd love to have the 3.0 in a Noble M12 with a litle help from a turbo or two.
