er theres a little more to just reading/editing the code and reburning it...GM/Chrysler pcm, then yes....mazda ecu....have fun....problem is that the hex encoding mazda uses and the actual file types are not public information. IN addition mazda uses unmarked motorola eproms, this means that unless you have a $2K ocilascope(spelling I know) you wont be able to tell even which pins do what. If you could decode the files then yes it is possible, but I can personally tell you that no individual or small business on this site will be able to undertake this task. Not knocking any of you vendors and such, just saying it will take well into the 10s of thousands of dollars to reverse engineer this one. My business and my partner's porsche team engineers have spent extensive time and a boat load of money attempting to do this. In fact we even obtained the actual machine used to download and flash the ECUs....point is, I have very little faith in someone who gets on here and says "I have a guy who can flash ECUs"...not flaming the newb, just saying that perhaps providing a little more detail would of been a better way to go about it. Now if by some act of god your guy can indeed flash/reprogram shot me a pm and I'll be more than happy to talk with you about tuning and such....hehe oh and on a side note good luck unsoldering the eprom...for those of you who have actually taken a mazda ecu apart you know what I'm talking about...

some one should inform this guy about upped boost,advanced timming,and detanation.


BTW the MSP isn't that rich,only in open loop.
closed loop it does a good job at staying stochiometric

with what you have I figure you should be moven a little better.
my buddies N/A hatch with a stock B18 type R runs a 12.8
and a focus sedan runnin 14LBS boost is runnin a 13.2 with a open diff
 
bad the ecu cant be tampered with easy, I was quoted $500cdn for a 10psi based reflash by a local guy, of course he has no experience with mazda ecus so im guessing this wont work lol go dsm a/f controller lol

who says i have been to the track since i put my new turbo kit on? Was i running slicks like the others that ran faster than me?

needless to say, i cant go to the track in michigan in mid december....

and also, just because a car runs "fastAr" doesnt mean the worth of the car. All a good 1/4 mile time shows is that the car is hooking and the person got a good launch. Needless to say again, not all tracks are the same condition etc...

i never claimed to be the best driver, but a number doesnt make the worth of the car.. And the number was so important to blkzoomzoom that he blew his car up doing it. Saweet i got a 13.15 with no slip.. "yeah!" and i blew my motor up....

...had over 320qtr mile passes on it..... was using the same setup as any other day at the track other than the slicks...had 3 13.1 passes, 2 13.2 passes, had 4 13.4 passes, had 2 14.1 passes... all within 2.5hrs. Trailored it up expecting it to blow.... had the spare motor sitting at work....

I don't what your problem is lately, everybody knows your making more power than most on the board, as evident of mph. If you can't take some "pokes" you might want to try growing up at some point. And no the turbo IS stock....

i bet u that guy wont be able to do anything to the ECU.
DSMConvert pretty much layed it out.
i've spoken to lead project tech at vortech superchargers and he told me pretty much the same thing DSM said.
it will cost you SOOOOO much money to break mazda's code that it will be cheaper to get a full ECU from Tri-Point Engeneering for $5,000 custom tailored to your car.
Tri-Point's ecu is the best ecu for an FS engine period.
....actually for ANY mazda. Protege, 6, RX-7.....
 
Tri-Point uses MoTec systems. MoTec, Autronic, etc are the highest end EMS solutions on the market.
