Dumbass Corolla driver

hahaha, look at the back right wheel, its barely hanging on the car, i love how the camera man covers the camera so we can't see it but hes too late!

im pretty sure the kid acctually thinks he was going to drift in a fwd car on a wet road. I mean its like a 90 degree turn and he was going like 35-40...in the rain to make it even worse.

lol. At least someone else has the same sense of humor, relatively, that I do about these things. Wanna drift@!#%)@(

Side notes:
Not only humorous, but the turn and all relevant sequences is a beautiful display of the true producing quality, through the fingers, when things go awry is oscar winning.

I've seen one fwd care do fairly well in drifting, but fwd doesn't mate well the drifting. Inertia in fwd isn't your friend.

What year 240SX's came in FWD?? I'm curious...Maybe you are thinking of a 200SX.

Yeah, I'm certain. =) The Bluebird and 200SX were FWD, but the 240SX is RWD, pretty well independantly, as it was always placed on the RWD S series chassis (S12, S13, S14, S15)... The S12 200SX was the same idea, from 1977 to 1988, powered by a 2.0L OHC engine, rather than the 2.4L SOHC/DOHC powerplant, but still keeping the RWD status. The 200SX of newer models I beleive was based on the FWD chassis, and it might be (Don't quote me on this, as I'm not certain) based on the same chassis as the Sentra of the same generations. Just what I know of the series. =)

The 200SX is the 2 door version of the Sentra isn't it? Well, was since they don't make it anymore...

^^^ This is correct. The SR20 blocks were used in both the Sentra and the Silvia platforms (except in the USA, we got the pathfinder motors boo). The SR20 was mated to a RWD setup on the Silvia (in the USA known as the 240 SX). In the Sentra, the motor was mated to a FWD drivetrain. The 200 SX (which is probably what you're thinking of) is basically a 2 door version of the Sentra.

okae here's how it goes
the silvia and 240SX share the same chassis/body, but different engines. silvia has the SR20DET while the 240SX has the POS ka24de.

200SX is pretty much a sentra. but back in the day, they were powered by SR20s.

drifting in the rain is fun w/ a RWD car. FWD can't control for s*** in drifting.

yes the ka24 is not bad when boosted...but i'd rather start out w/ the engine that was built to be boosted, ya know ? when i was dreaming about doing an s13 conversion, i thought about either doing the ka24 turbo or sr20det swap. the swap seemed to be the better choice since there was a lot more support for the sr20det and such

There was a Civic that won a drift competition here in VA recently. You have to be a VERY talented driver to drift a fwd car. It's possible, just not to common to most yet.

Here's a small clip. This isn't nearly as close as the best FWD drifting that I have seen, but it's close enough.

This one is a lot better
