This appears to be one area where US domestic brands prevail, if one prefers illuminated switchgear. The CX-5 and Rav4 are on my shopping list and neither offer more than minimal button illumination. My low-trim 2006 Escape XLS has switch illumination, even for the rear passengers. I will say that Honda illuminated everything on my wife's Odyssey, down to little volume controls and 12V outlets in the back.
