heh..im on like lvl40 and i havent even completed the easiest difficulty yet. i love to just keep ******* up Pindleskin in the expansion.

I always get rushed, I hate the Normal skill level. I need faster levels damnit!

i used to play it compulsively. i got most my characters up to the 80s. i never made any of the popular builds (and hence, strong ones) so i didnt have the equip to go magic finding and leveling up any higher.

favorite builds: throwing barb, poison necro, smite paladin

i am using a barbarian. ive got a couple nice swords and my double swing and frenzy built way up. then ive got a level 38 archer (whatever her name is that you get in the WAY beginning...ive kept her the whole time)

me and my dad play, we used to play on battle.net, now we just hook IPs and he helps me. He has beaten all difficulties except the last one. HE is about midway-3/4 through it. Its a fun game, i wish they had it for xbox or something. But if anyone is ever wanting to play just hit me up. I will probably get my ass kicked cause i am only lvl30 on the easy difficulty. HAHa

I've been playing for the past 5 months. I'm not hooked on it but I know a little more than just the basics. I know a couple people that are obsessed and even buy items for the game. Crazziness.It passes the time by. I have 4 sick characters: hammer pally, summon necro, secret druid, and now I am making a bone necro. I have some other characters but they are used to keep items in because they were experiments gone wrong. If ne1 goes on my account is crackalacker. Hit me up, and we can mf or I can rush you.

I had a kickass ice sorcerer on battlenet but I haven't logged in for a few months. I also had a decent druid for a while. It takes too long to build up a character and if you screw up assigning points to skills you have to start from scratch again.

I could never get into playing with the necro, I'm a melee fighter myself...although I loved being able to wipe out an entire screen with my sorcerer's ice spells.

i love the fast swinging barbarian. i never got into all the things like barb thrower or anything like that. i guess im just simple minded. i take the two best swords or melee items i can find, and i pair ti up with the frenzy which gets bonuses from my double swing. i use the frenzy then i use the double swing once my attack speed is way up.

anyways, i tried battlenet for a while the last time i went through this game, but i foundt here were so many cheaters it was ridiculous. almost like playing counterstrike. i found out the hard way because i traded someone for something and the item was bugged and it ruined my character IIRC.

Iy's easy to build characters if you can get rushed. Here's the breakdown:
Normal:
Tristram runs up to lvl 12
have someone rush you
tomb runs to lvl 20
cow runs to lvl 25
baal runs to lvl 44
Nightmare:
have someone rush you
Baal runs to lvl 72
Hell:
Have someone rush you
Baal runs to lvl 77
then enjoy game and kick ass by yourself

Also, don't put any points untill your at like lvl 60 or so. You dont need to because you will be getting rushed and will be in groups and let them kill stuff. Then figure out what strat you will use and what items you will use and fill up the skill points and stat points according to the type of character you want.

I could never get anyone to trade with me...the only advantage is that you level up much faster when you are playing with others...you just have to be quick with picking up items which can be a disadvantage for the necro.

I played on UsWest

I got one of each character to 99, I found every unique in the game legitamtly. My fav character was my paladin with the full griswold set, which took me forever to find, and than I got everything socketed and made him the shizz.

Anyways, I waisted sooo much of my life on that game it was sick. I started with the first Diablo when it first came out, than was a beta tester for D2.

Good game, very addictive...haven't played in a year or so.

can someone help me remember how to get to ancients way? i just beat that dude thaty froze that chick and now i have to go beat those ancients but i cant remember how to get there...hmm...

I used to play Diablo 2 like crazy. Pre-expansion's magic find runs/trading were the best!!

One proud thing about diablo 2 was that I was among the first ones to come up with the idea of a fire sorceress when the expansion came out.

Btw, to go to the ancients, you have to go thru that huge ice tunnel thing.
