Custom P5 Bodywork

Thanks everyone for the support... I know that It's just a material possession, but I'm still sad about losing my YlowP5. I had become really attached to that car and it was so fun to buy new things for it and think about my next mod.

Who knows... they may be able to fix it, but that's not likely according to the bodyshop. Right now I'm just sittin' and waiting for all the insurance garbage to go through. I hate waiting... I just want to know what my next step should be and start shopping for a new car if that's what I need to do.

i say second times a charm get another yellow p5 im sure theres another one out there with ur name on it bro. (p5yellow) (yellowp5) and as for the van driver (gun) killem! thats a discrase for a p5 he had to have known u were there if he was at a stop and u were through i mean for god sakes its freakin yellow thas one reasion i got my yellow one....... he is in the wrong to me he had to of flooredit when he saw u there hopeing the city or u were gonna buy him a sports car so he didnt have to drive a freakin van or was it a blond or old woman with a cell? (gun) (pissed)

What's with the proliferation (sp?) of run on sentances lately on the board? You know king, maybe it was an accident. I don't know many people who would willingly try to take the life of another person just to get a new car. Freakin pescimistic people. The worlds really not all that bad, ya know.

ylow, you dont want them to fix that. I know it'll be hard, but try to get them to total it if they dont want to. With that kind of damage, it's never going to be the same car again. It'll handle sloppy, stuff'll break randomly for years. Just try to find a new or used one thats been well kept.

Yeah... I really don't want that car back. When I went to the shop to get a better look at it, I actually saw how much damage was done (I was shocked). I know that if they try and fix it, it will never be the same P5 I had. I'm just gonna have to say goodbye to YlowP5 and move on.

As for the other driver... I'm not blaming him. Yeh, he should have seen a bright yellow car crossing traffic, but all he saw was a green light and didn't think he needed to check cross traffic. I blame the city of Sunnyvale for their poor recovery system on the traffic lights. Those lights should have remained red a long time before they gave a green to any driver... this would have never happened if the signal lights gave ample amount of time for a driver to get accross the intersection (the intersection has like, 7 lanes total).

holy ... that's the most caved in P5 i have seen so far...
glad to know you weren't seriously hurt. it could've been worse, so count your blessings and pray.

so what you gonna get next?

GRMYSZM: There were three witnesses that pulled over to testify that the lights were flashing red... so I have others that can confirm my story.

ChopstickHero: Yeh, I'm definately thanking God that it wasn't as bad as it could have been. If I was hit on the driver's side with the same impact, I would have been seroiusly hurt... not just some bruises and a cracked rib. And I hate even thinking about if my wife had been in the passenger's seat. The damage to that side was so great that she would have suffered some serious injuries.

As far as what I'm thinking about next... I want to get a Mazda3 Sport Hatchback. I just need to convince my wife to let me spend some more money. She really doesn't want to have another car payment. We just recently paid off both of our cars and it has been nice not having an extra bill every month.

If there were witnesses then why did the cop attempt to give you a ticket? Hopre everythign works out and you get the city to buy you a new car.

hey yelow i gues u didnt get my pm. about the interior parts that are silver u know... i was thinking if u scrap ur car ud sale me those and ur door handlers on the inside i want to try paiting them yellow and putting me on my car that y if i sale it i can go back to stock easly
(beer)

Hey, I'm glad to see that you're alright. I hate to bring this up now but I need a new passenger side fog light and I was wondering if you would sell me yours. Mine has a crack in it and I don't feel like paying the dealer full price for a new one especially since I just spend $159 for one new OEM tire becuase I had a blow-out earlier this week.

SUE SUE SUE SUE SUE SUE SUE the **** out of that damn HONDA

sue the city, and sue her

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

sue for the time you are out of work, the pain and suffering, your lawyer fees, court costs, cost of the loss. I am glad that you are alright but this is the time to crack down the whip and handle your business. You have the possibility to be collecting a major settlement check. I would seriously look into this. I have many friends who have come out with huge checks in their pocket from accidents. Don't be nice, you could have been killed!!!! It is not your fault and someone needs to pay. Just some advise. Seriously though, i've been in a car that rolled, a car that has been t-boned at 65mph, rear end accidents, and some other little s***, but by judging the way your car looks, you had to have gotten juggled around quite a bit. take care.......

I t-boned somebody a few weeks ago because Ididn't notice them. You think I should be sued and ****** for the next ten years of my life? It's pieces of s*** like you that make people hate america. You disgust me.

And its people like him that cause insurance rates to be so high when he sues for 500,000 even though hes fine.

Ok... that's enough with all the complaining. Like I said B4, I don't blame the other driver... He had a green light and wasn't doing anything wrong by going through the intersection (although I'd think that he'd notice a bright yellow car crossing traffic.)

I'm not gonna use this accident as an excuse to mimic "The American Way", i.e. sue somebody (or the city, in this case) just so I can add to my bank account. This was a no fault accident (unless you want to blame The City).

I'm not gonna take the time and effort to deal w/ a court battle just so I can get some extra cash out of the deal. I'm going to, sadly, say goodbye to my YlowP5 and move on. Sure, I did suffer some painful injuries... but that's no reason to jump at the chance to sue somebody. My body will heal itself (that's one of God's great designs), and the car will be replaced.

As a Christian, I'm thanking God for protecting during the accident (it could have been A LOT worse), and I'm gonna get the check from the insurance company and go out and buy another car (please don't get me wrong... I absolutely LOVED my P5; but it's not worth stressing over a material possession).

ANYWAY... I just thought it would be nice to express my views on the situation... after all, it was MY car that got totalled.

Sorry for the long-winded post...

And this, America, is a mature response. Too bad the rest of america isn't(aren't?) as mature as you.
