crooked sterring wheel?

when I drive straight, the sterring wheel is not centered. It is "crooked" to the left a bit. Is that normal.
I know it does not hurt anything, but it is annoying and I do not like it!!

That happend because whoever aligned the vehicle (intially) or after you had it aligned didnt set the steering wheel straight. When/if you need to get it aligned ask them if they can to that for ya. Should solve your problem :)

Try driving on the left side of the road and you'll notice yourself turning the wheel slightly more to the right.

Most streets are crowned or sloped to induce water runoff.

If it's not that, make Mazda align your front end under warranty.

I have the samething. It sits a little to the left. It has been like that since I got it and I have 700 miles on my car. Mazda is coming to pick my car up this week and drop off a free car for me to drive while they fix the dent that they put in it before I got it. I am gonna have them fix the alignment and check on the rattle noise.

I guess I am not the only one with this "problem". I wonder if it's supposed to be like that? I really do not want anyone touching my car just yet. Usually they end up messing something else up!! I am tired of it!!

there is a TSB out on the msp and the alignment being set wrong from the factory, they should fix it for free.

hm....after mazda stealer did an alighnment for me, my steering wheel is also croocked!!

They probably didn't keep the steering wheel striaght then they aligned it. They just left it as is. You need to special request it and if you did then the mechanic didn't listen.

So...lets see:

1. Stress cracked windshield;
2. Clunking - coming back again...replacement "D's" are failing;
3. Stalling.....:bs: ;
4. Excessive creaking of front suspension when midly colder. I guess I can live with this though...
5. Alarm too sensitive..I barely use it.
6. Crooked Steering wheel.

I'm patient, but boy this car has been in the shop more for servicing that my last 3 cars combined.

Ya...I figured that one out months ago. :'(

I took the car to the dealer today. I told them about the sterring wheel being crooked. I left it and 5 hours later they called and I pick it up. As soon as I get on the freeway I noticed the sterring wheel was STILL crooked!!! Damn, I am going back tomorrow again!! I am starting to hate this car!! I should have bought a Honda/Acura!!

What's a TSB?

1. New windshield, sorry.
2. I fell your pain.
3. Never had this problem.
4. I think i have it, never really cared.
5. Alarm was too sensative to begin with but you can change the sensativity of it, have you tried yet?
6. Everyone seems right, go sit inside it yourself and have them align it.:)

I wish I would have know about all this before I bought the car, oh well, "live and learn", right?

I was talking to a friend that used to sell cars and he was telling that if I have not made my 1st payment, I can still get out of the car. He said that this is something all the car salespeople know but of course will not tell you. Is that true?

I experienced the same problem with the steering wheel. When I test drove my car, I told the salesman about the problem and he said that it was supposed to be like that, that is how Mazda wants it. I looked at him and laughed! I bought the car regardless and the next day I brought it back to the service dept. and they fixed the problem. It is much better now, looks 100% better! Oh yeah, it was free to get the problem fixed :)
