Cobb AP Discussion Thread

Bloody Hell!!!

Well i have uninstalled my ap.
Got the latest copy of atr.
Installed it.
Opened and saved my last map revision.

Now the car can not reinstall. It just sits at the scanning for maps screen when attempting install...

HALP PLZ!!!

NVM, problem solved.

Just needed to go open a newest revision of a map from cobb and add in my values.
All is good :)

anyone want a stage 1 map at 18psi? lol jk.

I just monitored some live data on my AP for the first time. Im going to have to go back and read this entire thing again. My max boost according to the AP was 22psi and my AFR dropped to 9.9 with a Stage1+ 93 map. WAHHHH

When your watching live data why not add a log in there too.
Watch Afr, Boost Air Temps, Boost Pressure, Maf G/S, Long term Fuel Trims, RPM, Timing, Knock Retard... and the most important of all is fuel pressure. there are some other pretty ones but they dont really matter much for tuning ie: actual pedal position, voltage, speed, etc...

In your situation that sounds about right, the stockish maps run really rich if at high load values or seeing some knock conditions.

but thats a ton of boost for a stage 1 map. For reference i hold 17-18psi of boost with an 11.8 - 11.9 afr (stage 1 map modified by me), but have sick fuel pressure drop offs. Im seeing anything under 1400psi, my worst dip was to around 900. i think the only thing saving my motor is the fact that it has not been above 0 degrees C in Canada land for the last little while. And this could also be the other contributing cause of my fuel pressure dips is the weather.

I have been told by a very all knowing user here that drops in fuel pressure under about 1400psi are really bad because to compensate the injector pulse widths become longer, so the car is adding fuel but not a well atomized as it does with high pressures. This could lead to some knock conditions and possibly a failure of my motor if any detonation was to occur.

Because i cant afford a hpfp to hold better fuel pressure i need to turn the boost down :( sadness.

COLES NOTES: you should log your fuel pressure too just to make sure its not dipping really badly.

Use the "advanced post" option and upload the .xls to you post directly. No need to host it somewhere else. Right from you computer to M247.

why didn't you go to redline? what mods do you have again? your afrs' bounce around a little bit, probably need some up high maf calibration.

No redline because of traffic. Ill try and redo.

The only contributory mods are a Cobb SRI, Cobb turbo inlet, SLS test pipe
