Cobb AP Discussion Thread

how many miles did you put on it? also part throttle knock means nothing really. it takes time for the LTFT to settle down.

I had the tune on since last sunday, so like 200-250 mi. The car was hesitating and surging badly. It didn't do it until I changed the tune. Back to the Stage1 + TIHSF and things are better.

Just so you are aware, stage 1 maps run more aggressive timing to make up for the lack of boost. I am running a stage 1 base map with modifications by myself.
Most important part is i see minimal part throttle kr, mostly after letting off the throttle then getting back on it again. But i see 0kr during wot pulls.

Im gonna see if i can add another degree too during the summer months, when they roll around again, and see if it causes any adverse effects.

Ineresting, I didn't know that. The stage 1 tune just felt smoother, stronger to. Neber had any knock under any circumstance. I'm gonna leave it for know. The car seems to run better this way. A little lower boost is better for the winter anyway, right?

Just requested my update. Lots of new information to get through. I have just scratched the surface with ATR.

I would keep it stage 1 until you upgrade the tmic. Stage 2 may work for you though. Just monitor closely.

I'm scatching my head on all these new knock retard tables. . . Anyone messed with that yet?

ok i put stg2 sf 91, car runs great, i also put new plugs (ngk) my car kinda (stutters,) at high rpms around 5500-6000, any ideas on tht?
and also how do i access all the other features from this thing? like cutomizing and stuff?

The stuttering could be caused by anything such as plugs, tune, etc, etc so no help there. Did you gap your spark plugs properly?

If you have not already, you should download Cobb's Access Port manager and ensure your Access Port software/firmware is up to date and ensure that you are using up to date maps.

To access the other features, you need to download Access Tuner Race from Cobb's website. It will allow you to set flat foot shifting, launch control and to customize maps.

Sadly it cant get the box to your ap :P
lol jk richard.

awesome, im waiting for the email from cobb for the access tuner race, is flat foot, like wot shifting or what exactly is that, and can you adjust for the bov to be vta?

Flat foot shifting - Keep the right foot in it while the car adjusts fuel and timing to slowly drop rpm's while the throttle plate stays open so the turbo maintains as much velocity as possible while all you do is clutch and change gears.

The short of the answer to venting your bpv... Not without TONS of calibrations (each of which will interfere with normal operation), or a relocated maf sensor.
Your car will run with a vented bpv but it will not like it as much as a recirculated bpv.
